Every team is fighting for the highest possible position in the 12th season of Arrma. Despite yesterday’s defeat, NSQ are still very much in the running, and their 3–2 record gives them a solid position in the Open division. The end of the competition isn’t that far off – we’re now at the halfway stage, and the team certainly hasn’t had its final say yet.
Defeat against Made In Poland. NSQ still in the running for the play-offs!
- NSQ 6:13 Made In Poland, Nuke
Neptyk Squad started the match with great momentum. They took the pistol round in fine style, with Alanka’s clutch play securing them the lead. They claimed the next round with remarkable ease, raising hopes of a strong start to the match.
Unfortunately, when Made In Poland played with a full loadout, NSQ were unable to respond. In the third round, they managed to secure just one elimination. Further risky purchases of inferior weapons also failed to yield results, and their opponents levelled the score at 2–2. In the economy round, Neptyk Squad managed to secure two eliminations, but this was not enough to threaten their opponents’ economy.
NSQ’s first full buy also failed to deliver the expected breakthrough. Made In Poland gradually extended their lead, taking the score to 2–5. It was not until the eighth round that NSQ managed to breach their opponents’ defence and secure the bombsite. Moments later, in the ninth round, a 2v2 situation ended in NSQ’s favour, raising hopes of a comeback.
However, the optimism did not last long – the opponents took the next two rounds. With the score at 4–7, the final round of the first half ended with a misguided decision to go through the courtyard to Phoenix. The opponents quickly capitalised on the 1-on-2 situation, closing out the first half with a score of 4–8.
The start of the second half looked promising. NSQ took the pistol round and the force round, closing the gap to 6–8. Unfortunately, that was the end of their run of good form. Made In Poland took control of the match, winning consecutive rounds without significant losses, which allowed them to build up excellent economy.
The Nuke map proved to be the undoing of NSQ. Although their performance on the attacking side offered hope of a comeback, their defence did not function as it should have. The match ended in defeat, but Neptyk Squad still have a few more matches to play as they fight to improve their record in the Open division.
