In recent weeks, we’ve been reporting on The Separatists in a rather negative light. The team were out of form, and in a way, that’s our job. We don’t always beat about the bush; sometimes you have to say a few harsh words. It’s no different with media outlets, or at least the reliable ones. A few rounds ago, the Vultures were languishing at the bottom of the VPL Summer League table. The situation has done a complete U-turn over the last few rounds.
A breakthrough, Krystian the hero
Last place now belongs to MF Killers, whilst The Separatists have climbed out of the relegation zone rather quickly. It’s almost as if they’d entered some cheat codes. Following our article, in which we dubbed The Separatists ‘Agent 0-0-7’, their first win came straight away. Not that we’re taking credit for anyone else’s achievements. The turnaround came in matchday 8. They faced Elektryczni Esport away from home. It was one of those thrilling encounters. The Separatists owe their three points to Krystian Żurawski, who scored a hat-trick. He practically single-handedly secured the win for his team.
- 3–2 vs. Elektryczni Esport (A.)
Nobody saw that coming…
If we were to quote a certain stand-up comedian, those would be the exact words we’d use. The Separatists hosted Hornets Squads, this time at their own ground. The match took place a few days ago, on 18 August to be precise. The entire match was practically a one-man show by two Hornets players: the aforementioned Krystian and Rafał Ferenc. Krystian found the net three times, whilst Rafał Ferenc scored four times. Sebastian Bielecki added one more goal. And so, The Separatists won their second league match, with a score of 8–0. It was by no means a foregone conclusion that it would end 8–0, as the opposing team’s goalkeeper saved five shots.
- 8–0 vs. Hornets Squad (D.)
Third win in a row
On 18 August, The Separatists achieved what YNG SKiLLZ had been unable to do. Namely, they won 3–0 against Illegal Academy, whilst YNG lost by exactly the same score. It seems Krystian is in the form of his life. In this match, he added another two goals. Sebastian Bielecki scored the other, and the match ended in a 3–0 victory.
- 3–0 vs. Illegal Academy (W.)
A clash of rivals
We previously reported that, when it comes to the clash with Illegal Academy, The Separatists are the better side. Following that match, a clash between partners took place, with The Separatists playing away. It was a mixed bag of a match, as YNG SKiLLZ proved by winning 2–0.
- 0–2 vs. YNG SKiLLZ (H.)
Back on the wrong track?
After their best run (so far) in the VPL Summer League, The Separatists were brought back down to earth with a bump. They were given a reality check in the form of a 1–5 defeat to Impact Boys. Daniel Zawada scored a hat-trick for the opposing team. The home side’s goalkeeper saved three shots but couldn’t cope with the other five. The Separatists played this match at home.
- 1–5 vs. Impact Boys (D.)
Better a draw than…
In The Separatists’ situation, every single point counts. That’s why even draws are worth appreciating. Our partner played their match against Spirit.us at their own ground. In fact, this match was a head-to-head between two players: Krystian Żurawski and Dominik Oko. Both scored four goals each in this match for their respective teams. The match ended 4–4. We have to admit that it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a match like this.
- 4–4 vs. Spirit.us (D.)
FC Shadow Stars
Yesterday, the “Vultures” hosted FC Shadow Stars at their home ground. What’s the best recipe for victory for our partner? It’s quite simple: when Krystian Żurawski and Sebastian Bielecki are on form, the wins just come naturally. Yesterday, both were in fine form. They finished the match with two goals each to their names. Lukas Yoshida added the fifth. The match ended in a 5–2 victory for our partner. This is their fourth win in the group stage.
- 5–2 vs. FC Shadow Stars (D.)
The Separatists favourites for the first time?
I think we can safely say that in the upcoming Monday clash against MF Killers, our partners deserve to be called the favourites. The match is scheduled for 25 August at 20:40. Shortly afterwards, they’ll face OM3N eSports, at 9.10 pm to be precise. They’re no longer the favourites for that second match, but their recent results have shown they’re not without a chance.
- 25/08/2025, 20:40 vs. MF Killers (H.)
- 25/08/2025, 21:10 vs. OM3N eSports (A.)
After 14 rounds, The Separatists are in 10th place in the league. Four wins, one draw and nine defeats. This translates to 13 points. They currently have a three-point cushion over 12th-placed Elektryczni Esport (relegation zone).
