The latest edition of the Ascend Cup has officially kicked off. This time, the organisers have put together an edition titled “Jungle”, in which we once again see many teams from the Counter-Strike 2 underground scene. The tournament has been capturing the community’s attention from the outset, and the group stage is already delivering its first thrills and closely contested matches. For us, these matches are particularly interesting, as as many as three of our partners are in the line-up. Carpathian Roja is competing in Group C, whilst PEST Esport is in Group D. Meanwhile, Constrict Gaming is fighting for victory in Group E. Each of these teams has a slightly different situation to contend with. However, the start of the tournament shows that our partners have a real chance of causing an upset in their groups.
The first matches of the group stage have already yielded some significant results. PEST Esport has made a particularly strong start, being the only one of our partners to have already played both of its group matches. Carpathian Roja, meanwhile, secured an important victory to kick things off. Fans of Constrict Gaming, however, are still waiting for their team’s debut in this edition of the Ascend Cup.
PEST Esport with a clean sweep of wins, and Carpathian Roja off to a good start
PEST Esport has had the best start of all our partners so far. The team, competing in Group D, has already played both of its group stage matches and boasts a perfect record. This is a very important sign at the start of the tournament, especially as both matches were challenging and ended with a relatively narrow margin in rounds.
PEST Esport played their first match against Neksus Esports on the Anubis map. From the outset, the match looked set to be a closely fought contest, and that is exactly what we saw. Overtime was needed to decide the winner, and our partners came out on top. Ultimately, PEST Esport won 16–13, securing their first victory in the Ascend Cup: Jungle.
The second clash proved just as demanding, though this time the match was settled within regular time. PEST Esport’s opponents were Executors Gaming, and the teams faced off on Ancient. Once again, we witnessed a closely contested match, where our partners were once again able to tip the balance in their favour in the closing stages. The 13-11 victory meant the team finished the group stage undefeated and can look forward to the rest of the action in Group D with confidence.
Carpathian Roja, competing in Group C, also made a successful start to the tournament. The team began their campaign with a match against Adversa Esports. The match, played on Ancient, ended in a 13-10 victory for our partners. Although the score suggests a closely fought contest, the most important thing for Carpathian Roja is the victory itself and a strong start to this year’s tournament.
Constrict Gaming is still waiting for its first match. According to information available on the tournament website, the team is set to begin its campaign tomorrow at 9.00 pm. Fans are certainly hoping that our third partner will also start the Ascend Cup: Jungle with a successful performance and join the ranks of the winning teams.

The first few days of the tournament show that our partners are able to hold their own in demanding matches and fight effectively for further victories. PEST Esport has been particularly impressive so far, finishing the group stage without a single defeat. Carpathian Roja can also be pleased with their successful start, whilst Constrict Gaming still has its first real test ahead. If the upcoming matches prove just as thrilling, the Ascend Cup: Jungle could turn out to be one of the most exciting stages of the tournament for our partners.
