We are slowly wrapping up this year’s SUPERIONGG Awards 2025 nominations in the Team of the Year category… But before we move on to a round-up of the most important tournaments, we’d like to focus on a team whose presence on the scene took on a completely different dimension this year compared to previous years. Young Stars, a project that has always been associated with promoting young talent and giving players the chance to take their first step towards serious competition.
Although we won’t find any spectacular achievements in the results, and the project itself was ultimately suspended, Young Stars left behind something more important than numbers and tables. This year was a time of experimentation, rotation and attempts to redefine their own identity. They became a team that may not have been fighting for the top spots, but still played a vital role on the scene… A role as a place where young players could grow, gain experience and build their CVs ahead of the next stages of their careers.
The Young Stars’ achievements – or rather, their lack thereof
If one looks solely at the results, 2025 was a period of clear regression for the Young Stars. The team did not record any achievement that could be considered significant. They competed in several leagues and tournaments, yet their campaigns usually ended in the early stages… No promotions, no notable runs. There was also a lack of moments that could have served as a turning point. Unfortunately, there were neither unexpected flashes of form nor successful runs through the tournament brackets. The year was marked above all by squad issues and a search for stability. This, in turn, resulted in a lack of any results to show for it in the statistics.
The final chapter of Young Stars
The past year was a time of major changes for Young Stars and the eventual winding down of the project. For much of 2025, the organisation operated with its main squad. However, its last known line-up consisted of the following players: kuczu, jkb, Speed, kyokujiN and patrikinho. It was this quintet who represented the Young Stars, competing in various leagues and tournaments, before the team’s activities were suspended in October.
At the same time, the academy was operating, gradually taking over an increasing share of the organisation’s activities. In the final phase of the project, it was the junior squad that became the de facto core of Young Stars, acting as the main team. In the academy’s recent matches, we saw: Jaco, Speed, CortexDD, Neki and Quento. It was they who symbolised the transition of younger players into the organisation’s main activities.
This year thus reveals two sides to Young Stars. On the one hand, the experience and effort of the main squad… On the other, the energy and potential of the academy, which became the project’s last active representative. Although the organisation eventually ceased operations, the story of 2025 remains an interesting example of how teams cope with the changes and challenges associated with maintaining a stable squad.

Over the past few months, Young Stars has featured regularly in our content, providing a comprehensive picture of the life and activities of the entire project. In total, we published as many as 77 articles in which the team was the main subject. We devoted most of our attention to the first-team’s performances in leagues and tournaments, changes to the line-up, and the running of the academy. There was also no shortage of detailed match analyses and season reviews, which allowed us to track the development of the team and its younger players, as well as observe how the project evolved throughout the year.
Why were the Young Stars nominated?
A year full of challenges, changes to the squad and the gradual winding down of the project did not obscure the fact that Young Stars remained active and visible on the scene. Regular appearances by the first team, the development of the academy and consistent participation in tournaments. All this shows that the team consistently built its foundations, giving younger players a chance and engaging in competition. It is precisely this constant presence and commitment that have earned Young Stars a place among the nominees for the SuperionGG Awards 2025. Recognised not for trophies, but for their work, perseverance and tangible contribution to the development of the esports scene.
