The ESEA Entry S55 season is entering its decisive phase, and our partner teams are showing tremendous determination. The group stage has now concluded, and as we mentioned in our previous article, only three teams have secured a place in the play-offs: Vandals Clan, Victoria Nostra and VoFoxen Rising. Unfortunately, Panico eSports were eliminated earlier, but that story has already been covered in detail. Today, it’s time to focus on the three teams still fighting for the best possible result, as each has its own ambitions and goals. Every match in the play-offs brings new excitement, and now we’re going to take a look at our teams’ entire journey to show what their effort, development and determination looked like.

Jaster V1sen CSKU SzczykuVandals Clan started the play-offs on a positive note, as they received a BYE in the first round of Bracket B. They didn’t have to play a match and could therefore focus fully on training and preparations. This extra time allowed them to fine-tune the details, whilst also giving the team a moment to catch their breath after an intense regular season.
On 27 November, Vandals Clan faced the Belarusian side razdva52. The match quickly showed that the Poles were well prepared, and their form is improving by the day. They won 2-0, and very convincingly, as the scores of 13-6 on de_mirage and 13-6 on de_ancient clearly demonstrated their strength. Every round went their way and the team controlled the match from the very first minutes. Importantly, the players maintained a high tempo and did not allow their opponents to settle into a comfortable rhythm. A match like this boosts morale and shows that hard work is starting to pay off.
Vandals Clan now face tougher opponents in the ESEA Entry playoffs, but their good form and 2-0 record in the playoffs provide them with excellent motivation. The team continues to play because they believe they can be promoted to a higher division, and this confidence could be the key to further victories.

Victoria Nostra began the play-offs with a clash against the Ukrainian nQ Team on 25 November. The match proved to be full of excitement and twists and turns, ending with a 2-1 victory for the Poles. First, Victoria Nostra won comfortably 13-3 on de_ancient, but de_mirage slipped from their grasp and ended 5-13. The decisive map, Train, was a nail-biter, as the teams went round for round, and any mistake could have changed the outcome. However, the Poles kept their cool and won 13-11. This victory demonstrated their character and proved that they can win a match that requires patience, determination and mental resilience.
A battle to the very end
On 27 November, they faced the Finnish team INCEPTOR. Victoria Nostra got off to a flying start, winning de_dust2 13:10, but things soon started to get complicated. Inferno ended 10:13, and the decisive de_mirage also slipped away from the opponents, with the 9:13 result meaning the Poles dropped into the losers’ bracket. The team had a chance to close out the match 2-0, but they lost control and the situation turned against them. A result like this always hurts, as it shows they were so close to progressing to the next round.
The end of the road
On 29 November, Victoria Nostra played a do-or-die match against the Swiss team SPIRIX. The first map ended 7-13, and de_inferno, despite a tremendous fight, finished 13-16. The Poles fought until the very end, but SPIRIX proved to be just a touch better. The match ended in a 0:2 defeat, so this was their final series in this season’s ESEA Entry S55 playoffs.
But… the story doesn’t end on a sad note. Thanks to their victory in the first match, Victoria Nostra secured promotion to ESEA Intermediate. Teams finishing in places 32–48 are rewarded with promotion, so they end the season on a huge high, even though the play-offs didn’t go quite as they’d hoped. It’s a bittersweet ending, but the important thing is that the team is moving up a league.

VoFoxen Rising played their first match on 25 November against yandexlavka666. The match didn’t go well, though the team fought ambitiously. On de_inferno, the opponents dominated and won 6–13, but the second map brought much more fight and excitement. Ancient ended 11-13, and this defeat was particularly painful as the Poles were very close to levelling the series. You could see they were well prepared, but the pressure following the loss of the first map may have affected their composure and concentration.
Following their defeat, VoFoxen Rising dropped into the losers’ bracket, but received a BYE on the same day, meaning they automatically progressed to the next round. This gave them a moment to reset and prepare for the battle for promotion, as every subsequent match is now a do-or-die affair.
A chance to bounce back
Their next match is on 1 December at 19:30 against the Polish team Dom Seniora. This will be a crucial clash, as there is no room for error. The Foxes must show character, because only by fighting for every detail can they secure promotion and a chance to break through to the next level.
Summary
The ESEA Entry S55 play-offs showed one thing: our teams can fight at every stage, as none of them gave up a single match without a fight. Three different teams and three different stories came together to tell a shared tale of ambition, surprises and a journey that often involves pressure, emotions and difficult decisions. Looking at all the matches, we see three distinct pictures, but each one embodies Polish determination.
