Firewolf Clan’s run in the ESEA Entry S53 play-offs comes to an end
Unfortunately, Firewolf Clan’s run in the ESEA Entry play-offs came to an end following a 0–2 defeat to MIS ESPORT from Slovenia. Their run in the play-offs, although it began promisingly, came to an end in the fourth round of the lower bracket. Firewolf is one of our partners, which is why we followed their performances with great interest. Below is a report on their final match.
Firewolf Clan 0–2 MIS ESPORT

The match began with Firewolf Clan on the attacking side, but their attempt to push through the mid to B in the very first round ended in failure. The pistol round went to MIS ESPORT
. In the fourth round, Firewolf managed to plant the bomb, but KanCzesio was caught off guard and was eliminated – 4:0 to the opponents.
After five rounds, Firewolf’s performance left a lot to be desired. In the seventh round, the team decided to take a breather, which paid off – they won their first round and reduced the deficit to 6–1. Unfortunately, MIS ESPORT began to play much more aggressively and seized the initiative. The final round of the first half saw a quick B-site rush by Firewolf, which was easily stopped. The half ended with a score of 9–3 to MIS ESPORT.
After switching sides, Firewolf showed their character – they successfully defended the long route in the first two rounds. In round 15, WilAR
pulled off a spectacular noscope and defused the bomb, giving them a glimmer of hope. However, MIS ESPORT, just as in the first half, quickly regained control and finished the Dust 2 map with a confident B-site rush, winning it 13–6
.

Ancient was supposed to be a chance to level the score, but from the outset the match unfolded on the opponents’ terms. In the pistol round, MIS ESPORT sent as many as four players to mid, which caught Firewolf off guard and resulted in a swift elimination without the bomb being planted. In the third round, Firewolf played on side A; had it not been for Szumiks’s good timing, the round could have ended in disaster, but they managed to pull it off.
MIS ESPORT continued to dictate the pace, opting for a very aggressive style of play by shortening all positions. This approach completely threw Firewolf off balance, and they were unable to find a response. The ninth round saw a full eco from Firewolf, ending in a perfect counter-attack by the opponents on side A. The first half ended with a score of 9–3.
On the CT side, Firewolf tried to put up a fight, but the first round of the second half saw another clash in the mid – won by MIS ESPORT. They managed to pick up one more round on the counter-attack, but MIS ESPORT finished the job. The map finished 13–4, with the Slovenian team winning the match 2–0.
Roster change – BotFloyd leaves the team
At the end of the season, BotFloyd decided to leave Firewolf Clan. This was his personal choice.
Firewolf Clan’s ESEA Entry S53 play-off round-up
The team got off to a flying start in the play-offs. In the first round of the upper bracket, they defeated CTMJNT 2–0. In the second round, a confident 2–0 victory over Chaos Champions raised hopes of a deep run; below is a report on the two matches.

Unfortunately, a 0–2 defeat to 5TARZ (report on that match here) in the third round of the upper bracket saw them relegated to the lower bracket. There, they faced a strong MIS ESPORT side, who effectively sealed the deal and knocked Firewolf out of the play-offs with a 2–0 victory.
Final thoughts
Firewolf Clan performed well at the start of the play-offs, displaying solid play and controlling their matches in the upper bracket. Unfortunately, the end of the season exposed the team’s struggles to adapt to their opponents’ aggressive style, as well as a lack of consistency at crucial moments. Now it’s time to rest, reflect and work on a comeback for next season.
