We’d only just started the Arrma regular season, and we’re already at the halfway point. Young Stars are playing in the Masters League, where they’re doing quite well. They’ve recorded a 3–2 record, and I’ll be covering their last two matches in this article.
A match for the newcomers to the Masters League
Their first opponents were a team from Mensz, who are making their debut at such a high level this season. The start of the match was unusual for both teams. Usually, the team that wins the pistol round takes a 2–0 lead, or is broken by the opponent’s force and starts losing 1–3. Here, after four rounds, the score was 2–2. After a series of back-and-forth exchanges, the men’s team eventually pulled ahead to lead 5–2. The Young Stars were unable to build on this lead and levelled the score at 5–5. At the end of the first half, the score was 6–6, which gave no clear indication of who was the favourite to win the match.
The second half got off to a frantic start, as after winning the first round against their opponents, the Young Stars managed to break the deadlock, taking the score to 9–7. After winning yet another round, the opponents seized the initiative and levelled the score at 10–10. There followed another back-and-forth exchange, round for round, and with the score at 11–11, Young Stars won the round and seized their only chance to win the match, closing it out with a 13–11 victory.

A hard-fought match against Molliti
The second match, which took place yesterday, was against Mollitiem. Here, we didn’t see quite as much excitement, as our opponents started with a 5–0 lead. The Young Stars responded, but only with a single round, after which Mollitiem added two in quick succession. It was only then that our team began a genuine comeback, which ended with the half-time score at 5–7.
The second half began with the opponents winning their second pistol round of the match. This time, a failed force by the Young Stars saw them fall behind 5–10. At this level, such a lead isn’t given up without a fight, and our partner failed to put up a fight, resulting in them adding a defeat to their record with a final score of 6–13. They thus ended the first half of the season with a 3–2 record, remaining in the upper half of the table.
