Nexium POLteam are the ArrMy Rising champions

- -

It isn’t always the team in the spotlight from the start that wins. Sometimes the path to the title lies in quiet consistency, scoring regularly and patiently building form, rather than a single high-profile match. In ArrMy Rising, just such a story has reached its conclusion. And its main protagonist turned out to be Nexium POLteam. A team that, week after week, systematically proved that it hadn’t found itself at the top by chance, only to take that final, winning step at the decisive moment of the tournament.

Their path to the cup, however, was no straightforward motorway. There were moments of dominance, but also moments that could have clipped their wings. Such as a single defeat in the regular season, or demanding series in the playoffs. Finally, there was the final, in which they faced an opponent who knew their weaknesses inside out. It was precisely these experiences that shaped the league’s narrative and made the final triumph taste even sweeter.

Consistency over fireworks – Nexium POLteam’s regular season

The regular season in the Rising division was a test of consistency and stability for Nexium POLteam. And they passed that test almost flawlessly. Right from the very first matches, the team showed that they could control the flow of games and deliver results. Even when the margins on the server weren’t huge. First came the victory over Armitra on Mirage, ending 13-7. Then came the demanding clash with ZEN Esports on Ancient, won 13-11. It was these wins that set the tone for the entire league campaign and showed from the outset that POLteam can close out matches under pressure.

Subsequent matches only confirmed that the team thrives in the longer format and doesn’t panic in closely contested matches. A narrow 13-10 victory over ch1m1depo and an extremely tight match against Paraolimpiada, ending 16-13 on Train, were the best proof that POLteam can keep their cool in crucial rounds. More control was evident in the clashes with Made in Poland and Tuga Clan. Both matches ended in comfortable victories of 13:6 and 13:7, in which Nexium POLteam dictated the pace of the game from the outset.

However, the real demonstration of strength came in subsequent performances on Ancient, which quickly emerged as one of the team’s strongest maps. Dominant 13-2 victories against ATP, coupled with a 13-4 win over TEB Esport Pro, clearly showed that on this map, POLteam is capable of seizing the initiative from the very first rounds and consistently maintaining it. The only moment that broke this narrative was the match against Horizon Esports. That 3-13 defeat was the sole blemish on an otherwise very solid regular season.

However, the response came immediately. In their final match, Nexium POLteam defeated energolek 16–13 on Mirage. This brought their regular season to a close with a 9–1 record and third place in the table. Such a finish not only secured a comfortable progression to the playoffs but also confirmed that the team is ready for much more than just solid performances in the league.

When there is no room for error – Nexium POLteam in the play-offs

The regular season allows you to build momentum, but it is the playoffs that put everything to the test. Here, previous records count for nothing, and every mistake could cost you a place in the fight for promotion. Nexium POLteam entered the decisive stage of the league with a strong track record, but also with the realisation that the real challenges were yet to come. The BO3 series required not only good shooting form, but also map preparation and mental resilience.

From the quarter-finals onwards, it was clear that the road to the title would be no walk in the park. Each successive match presented POLteam with different challenges. From complete control, through moments of crisis, right up to the final, which proved to be the perfect culmination of the entire run.

Quarter-final: complete control from the first map

The quarter-final clash with Nisla Rakov was the perfect start to the knockout stage for POLteam. The series ended in a quick and confident 2-0 victory. The results themselves clearly showed that the team had settled into the realities of the playoffs from the outset and had no intention of complicating their path to the semi-finals. It was a match that sent a clear signal that advancing to the next round was, for POLteam, the next step in a consistently executed plan, rather than a one-off flash of form.

The first map, Mirage, ended with a score of 13:3 and set the tone for the entire match right from the start. Such a resounding victory highlighted the clear superiority of Nexium POLteam, who established a comfortable lead from the outset and did not allow their opponents to mount a serious challenge. The second map, this time Ancient, followed a very similar pattern. The 13-5 victory was further confirmation that POLteam is effectively executing its plan and is capable of closing out series without unnecessary complications.

Thus, the match against Nisla Rakov was an important signal at the start of the playoffs… Nexium POLteam not only advanced to the semi-finals, but did so in convincing style, emphasising that it is one of the strongest contenders for the ultimate triumph. It was an opening to the knockout stage that gave the team confidence ahead of the much tougher challenges in the subsequent rounds.

Semi-final: a test of character and a comeback series

However, the semi-final against energolek was the first real test of Nexium POLteam’s resilience in the playoffs. The series ended in a 2-1 victory, which immediately showed that the road to the final would not be easy. The results of the first map clearly indicated that the team would have to show character and mental resilience if they were to have any hope of winning the championship. Indeed, the first map, Ancient, ended in a 5-13 defeat for POLteam. This result was the first sign that Energolek had set tough conditions and that no series in the playoffs was a formality. It was a map that could have shaken the team’s confidence, whilst at the same time setting the tone for the entire semi-final. Thus demonstrating that even the favourites cannot underestimate their rivals.

The second map, Dust 2, brought a clear turning point in the series, with Nexium POLteam winning 13-6. This result, however, showed that the team is capable of quickly recovering from a setback and rising to difficult challenges. The victory was a clear signal that the team had regained control of the series. It also boosted morale, preparing them for the decisive map. Of course, the third and decisive map, Inferno, ended with a score of 13–9 in POLteam’s favour. This result completed the story of the series turnaround. Despite an initial defeat, the team maintained their cohesion and secured victory, guaranteeing their place in the final. The result of this map demonstrated not only the team’s determination but also their readiness to seize success at the decisive moment of the tournament.

Final: a rematch, pressure and a masterful conclusion

The final against Horizon Esports, however, was the culmination of the season and an opportunity for revenge for their sole defeat in the regular season. The series ended 2-1, clearly demonstrating that the match was incredibly close and tense, with every result counting towards the final triumph. The match began with Dust 2, which ended in a 13-8 victory for POLteam. This also sent a signal to their rivals that POLteam had started the final confidently and convincingly. Thus demonstrating that, despite the pressure, they were able to enter the decisive clash fully focused. The result of this map set the pace for the entire series and gave the team a solid start.

Unfortunately, the second map, Nuke, proved more difficult and ended in a 10-13 defeat. This result showed that the final would not be straightforward, and that the opponents were capable of responding to POLteam’s Nexium attack. The defeat was a temporary setback for the team, who had to keep their cool and prepare for the decisive map. As such, the result on Nuke added drama to the series and raised the stakes of the third match even further. Ultimately, the decisive third map, Inferno, brought Nexium POLteam a 13-11 triumph and the final victory in the division. This result brought the whole story to a close. A team that, having faced tougher moments along the way, maintained cohesion, perseverance and self-belief. All this to claim the ArrMy Rising championship title in the final. This result was not only a reward for their consistent form throughout the tournament, but also a symbolic revenge for an earlier defeat and the culmination of a journey that began in the group stage.

A well-deserved triumph and a new chapter

Nexium POLteam’s victory in this season’s ArrMy Rising is the result of the consistency, composure and resilience the team demonstrated at every stage of the tournament. From a solid group stage, through demanding playoff series, right up to the final rematch. Every step proved that success does not come by chance. The team proved that they can bounce back from difficult moments, maintain their composure and close out a series when the stakes are highest. Moreover, this triumph is not just a championship title; it is a ticket to a new challenge. Thanks to this victory, POLteam will play in the top division, the Masters, next season. They will join the ranks of the best teams and show that their path to success is only just beginning. The team sets an example that consistent hard work, determination and mental resilience always translate into results. And every difficult moment can be turned into a victory.
