We’ve now reached that point in the 54th season of ESEA where most teams have to bid farewell to the tournament, thus bringing their journey in the competition to an end. Unfortunately, Panico eSports are also among them, having failed to progress any further. Their final match was set to be a clash between two Romanian teams. However, before we get to that match, I’d encourage you to check out our previous article, in which we covered Panico’s earlier clash. Now, let’s get back to the main topic and see how the final chapter of our international partners’ journey unfolded.
A fraternal battle for survival in the ESEA Entry?

2x [0:1 | walkover]
We were set to witness an incredibly thrilling clash between two teams from Romania… It could have extended Panico’s run in this season’s ESEA Entry for just a little while longer. Even though the team weren’t in the best of form, we were hoping to see at least a bit of fight and determination in their clash with their compatriots. However, the reality turned out to be quite different… Panico decided to forfeit the match and bowed out of the competition without putting up a fight.
An ending like this always leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied. Fans expect excitement, maps full of twists and turns, or at least flashes of individual brilliance that would instil some hope for the future. There was no room for any of that here… The result was summed up in two dry lines, and Panico ends the season with a sense of a missed opportunity. That doesn’t mean, however, that all is lost. Perhaps the team will now opt for squad changes or a greater focus on training, so that they can return stronger and more determined in future editions.
Ultimately, it’s a shame that Panico are bidding farewell to this ESEA season in such an unsatisfactory manner. For whilst the figures in the table don’t always reflect the spirit of the competition, in this case they leave no room for interpretation. The team let it slip and must now focus on ensuring that future chapters of their history are written not by walkovers, but by real battles on the server.
