Sometimes new projects aren’t built from scratch, but are a natural progression from previous collaborations and experience gained. A few months of playing together, competing regularly and building up a track record can clearly show the direction a team is heading in. As a result, a particular squad has emerged on the Polish scene in precisely this way, and is now entering the next stage of its development. Of course, we are talking about Lunacy Gaming, which has officially unveiled its new academy squad.
The team’s history before joining Lunacy Gaming
The core of the current Lunacy NXT is made up of players who already have a long history of playing together. xia, Hiroshima and Pago previously formed the backbone of the squad known as Dobu. The team that had represented Vyce Clan since September 2025. It was during that period that the team began to appear regularly in league competitions and build up their experience against other teams.
While playing under the Vyce Clan banner, the team managed to qualify for the ESEA Open 10 playoffs, where they came very close to securing promotion to ESEA Intermediate. As the players themselves point out… The result achieved was all the more valuable as it was achieved with a line-up that, individually, was not among the strongest in the league. However, this result confirmed the potential of the core and the direction in which the team wanted to develop.
After ending their partnership with Vyce Clan in December 2025, the squad decided to continue playing together, whilst making some changes to the line-up. Jodła and Zyxo joined the team. This allowed the line-up to stabilise and a more cohesive playing style to develop. The new line-up quickly began to bear fruit, and the team was able to focus on upcoming tournament appearances and further development.
Results that paved the way to Lunacy NXT
With the new line-up, the team quickly began to demonstrate its potential through results as well. In the Arrmy Open competition, the team recorded a 9–1 record, which was one of the best results in the field. In addition, the squad claimed victory in the 2nd edition of the charity Lunacy Cup. On top of that, they finished second in the Nasze Rewiry tournament, regularly competing against top-tier teams.
It was these achievements that caught the attention of Lunacy Gaming, which decided to incorporate the team into its structure as an academy squad. Under the name Lunacy NXT, the team has set clear goals for the coming season: promotion to Army Rising and ESEA Intermediate, as well as competing for victory in one of the smaller tournaments. However, the coming months will show whether this chosen direction will allow the team to take the next step in its development.
