The ESEA S52 regular season draws to a close at the end of this week. This is the perfect time to take stock of how our partners have fared in such a demanding league. Of course, the standard of the Open division is not on a par with the Main division, but our partners are constantly striving to achieve the highest possible goals.
ESEA Open10
Starting with the lowest division. Young Stars Academy recorded the worst record of all our partners. Their 6:8 record left them with no chance of making the play-offs, and they end their season here. The next team at this level is Gloris eSports. They started the season with a 1:3 record, but eventually got back on track and finished the season with a 7:7 record. This secured them a place in Play-off Pot B, where they will compete against 383 teams for 64 places in ESEA Intermediate.
The second of our partner teams to be competing for a place in ESEA Intermediate via the play-offs this season is Firewolf Clan. They’ve had a mixed season, but going into their last two matches they were even in with a chance of securing a place in Play-off Pot A, which would have guaranteed them a spot in the higher division for next season. Unfortunately, they lost those matches and the Wolves must now settle for Pot B, where, like Gloris, they will battle it out with 383 teams for 64 places in ESEA Intermediate.

Pot B Young Stars Academy: 6–8 record, did not qualify for the play-offs
ESEA Intermediate
Moving on to the division with the highest number of our partners: Intermediate. Here, Constrict Gaming recorded the worst record out of our five partners. Their record of 6 wins and 8 losses does not guarantee them a place in the play-offs, but they will not be relegated either. Next in the order from worst to best record is Horizon Esports, who finished with a 7:7 record. Their situation is the same as Constrict’s.
The third partner in the Intermediate division is SLAKE. After initial struggles and a 1-3 record, they finished the regular season with an 8-6 record, which secures them a place in Play-off Pot B, where they will compete against 95 teams for 8 spots in the Main Division. Armitra and Hussars will also be competing for these spots; they finished with a 9:5 record and were just one win short of qualifying for the Play-offs’ Pot A, which would have guaranteed them a place in ESEA Main for next season.
Constrict Gaming: 6–8 record, failed to qualify for the play-offs and avoided relegation to the Open
division Horizon Esports: 7–7 record, did not qualify for the play-offs and will not be relegated to the Open
division SLAKE: 8–6 record, qualified for the play-off
Bracket B Armitra: 9–5 record, qualified for the play-off
Bracket B Hussars: 9–5 record, qualified for the play-off Bracket B
ESEA Main
Our only partner in the Main division is Young Stars Talents. Their first season at this level did not get off to a great start. They lost their first five matches and began the season with a 0–5 record. After that, they staged a comeback and went on a winning streak that lasted until they levelled their record at 5:5. They now have just one match remaining, which will be played tomorrow. We already know, however, that they will not make the play-offs even if they manage to win. They therefore end the season neither relegated nor promoted.
