It’s been a while since we last checked in on Superion Gaming, but there’s been quite a lot going on with the team in recent weeks. The team has been active on several fronts. Among other things, they’ve taken part in both the ESEA Intermediate tournament and the ArrMY league qualifiers. Although the start of their campaign looked quite promising, the end of the season brought a few more problems, which ultimately affected the team’s final result.
However, there was no shortage of positive news either. Superion Gaming secured a place in one of the ArrMY divisions, meaning the team will still have the opportunity to compete at a solid level in the coming weeks. At the same time, there has recently been a significant change in the squad, prompting the organisation to begin the search for a new player. It is this move that may have the greatest impact on the team’s future in the near future, as they are currently finalising their squad ahead of the next challenges.
Competition in ESEA and the ArrMY qualifiers
Recently, Superion Gaming has primarily competed in the 56th season of ESEA Intermediate, where the team had the opportunity to test themselves against many European sides. The team’s start to the competition gave cause for optimism. Superion started the season very strongly… recording three consecutive wins, which allowed them to quickly build a positive record and find themselves in the upper half of the table. In subsequent matches, however, the team’s form was much more inconsistent. The team alternated between wins and losses, causing their position in the table to gradually become more complicated.
Despite this, at one point during the season, Superion Gaming could boast a very good record of 6 wins and 2 defeats, which offered real hope of a playoff spot. Unfortunately, the end of the season did not go the Polish team’s way. Superion hit a distinct slump, recording a run of six consecutive defeats, which completely reversed their position in the table. Ultimately, the team finished the season with a 6–8 record, which proved insufficient to secure a place amongst the teams advancing to the playoffs.
At the same time, Superion Gaming tried their hand at the qualifiers for ArrMY Season 15, which we mentioned earlier. The team managed to get through the earlier stage of the competition and advance to the closed qualifiers, where the level of competition was already much higher. We have already described the first match in this phase in one of our previous articles. However, the next clash proved to be much more difficult for Superion Gaming. The team faced off against 4 Pancernych i Kot, and the match ended in defeat for Superion Gaming. This defeat meant that the team failed to secure a place in the top Masters division. Nevertheless, simply qualifying for the closed qualifiers proved to be very important. This is because it secured the team a place in ArrMY Rising, a lower but still very strong division of the league.
Superion Gaming is looking for a new sniper
However, recent weeks have brought yet another significant piece of news regarding Superion Gaming. The team announced that one of its players had left the squad, prompting the organisation to begin the search for a new player to fill the gap ahead of the upcoming season.
In an official announcement published on social media, Superion Gaming stated that they are looking for a player to fill a very specific role. The team is seeking a player to act as a marksman (or anchor), one of the key positions in the squad.
The list of requirements for potential candidates is quite clearly defined. Above all, the organisation expects a minimum ELO of 2800 and experience in team play. In addition, candidates must have ample availability to allow for regular training sessions and participation in official matches. Ambition and a desire to develop are also key factors, as these are intended to help the team achieve increasingly better results.
Superion Gaming has also outlined an offer for potential players. The new player can look forward to, amongst other things, a CS2 server and TeamSpeak 3. They will also receive graphic design support from individuals collaborating with the organisation. Furthermore, the team has stated that it will cover entry fees for tournaments and leagues in which it participates.
The new sniper will also have the opportunity to represent Superion Gaming in ESEA and ArrMY Rising competitions, which could be a good chance for further development and to make a name for themselves on the scene. A new chapter lies ahead for the team
Superion Gaming is therefore set for a rather interesting period. The team has already had an intense season in ESEA and the demanding ArrMY qualifiers, which allowed them to secure a place in the Rising division. At the same time, the organisation must now focus on finding a player who will complete the line-up and help the team get back on track. The coming weeks will reveal who ultimately joins the team and whether the new marksman will prove to be the missing piece of the puzzle. One thing is certain, however… Superion has no intention of slowing down and still aims to compete actively in the upcoming tournaments.
