We recently announced our partnership with the Nisla Rakov team, and we can already boast of the excellent results the lads have achieved in the Ascent Legacy Series Season 3 tournament. This bodes very well for the rest of the season, though we don’t want to jinx it. If you haven’t yet had the chance to read our earlier introductory article about the team, you really should catch up – just click here.
From the very first match, it was clear that Nisła Raków were in superb form. The team were drawn into Group C, where they’ve already played two matches in the upper bracket. Every CS2 fan could feel the excitement, as the players weren’t just winning – they were doing so in truly spectacular style.
The first step towards the play-offs
On 8 September, Nisła Raków faced off against 404 on the de_ancient map. Right from the start, the match showed that the players were exceptionally well prepared, both tactically and individually. Right from the opening rounds, they dictated the pace of the game, controlling key positions on the map. 404 tried to respond with aggression, but Nisła Raków left no doubt as to who was calling the shots that day.
The match ended 13–6 and demonstrated that the lads are capable of maintaining their focus and keeping their cool even in the toughest moments. It is worth noting that the whole team performed consistently – every player contributed something, and the rotations and communication worked flawlessly.
Second match – a show of strength
Ten days later, on 18 September, Nisła Raków faced ZEN Esport, once again on de_ancient. Anyone hoping for a closely fought contest was quickly disappointed. From the very first round, the Nisła players took the initiative, dominating both in defence and attack.
Their opponents were unable to find a way to break through Nisła Raków’s defence, and every attempt to attack ended in a lightning-fast counter-attack. The 13–2 scoreline speaks for itself – it was a real rout. One could even say that the lads sent a message to the whole tournament: “we’re here to win”.
After a match like this, it’s hard to single out one man of the match, as the team played like a well-oiled machine. Every move was well thought out, and their lead grew with every round. This victory not only secured a place in the play-offs but also gave the team’s morale a huge boost.
Who will be their next opponent?
Now the lads face their next challenge. In their next match, Nisła Raków will take on the winner of the VoFoxen eSport vs Sportofcy clash. Although their place in the play-offs is already guaranteed, this certainly does not mean that the final match can be treated as a mere formality. On the contrary – the battle for a seed, i.e. a better position in the final bracket, is still underway.
Why is this so important? If they win, Nisła Raków will be placed in the 1–4 seed group, which will allow them to avoid the strongest teams right at the start of the play-offs. A defeat will push the team down to the 5–8 seed group, meaning they could face an exceptionally tough opponent as early as the first round. That’s why every match counts, and the lads will certainly give it their all.
A strong message to the competition
The results so far show one thing – Nisła Raków are entering Ascent Legacy Series Season 3 with immense confidence and consistency. Victories over 404 and ZEN Esport have not only paved the way to the play-offs, but have also proved that the team can play offensively, spectacularly and effectively.
All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming matches and hope that the winning streak continues. Fans can already feel proud, as the team’s debut in the tournament has been truly promising.
The season is only just getting into full swing, and there’s still plenty of excitement to come. We’ll be keeping you up to date on Nisła Raków’s upcoming matches. One thing is certain – this team hasn’t had its final say yet.
