Panico eSports in ESEA Entry
Panico eSports is an organisation consisting mainly of a core group from Romania. The squad includes one Polish player, A1mpom, who has already played a few matches for Panico. This is currently the team’s fifth season in the ESEA competition. The first two seasons were in ESEA Open, followed by another in Open, but in Open1-8. Season 53 was the first in which we saw Panico in Entry. We are currently in season 54 and Panico is ‘still’ playing in Entry.
They played their first match on 16 July at 8.30 pm. Their opponents were Better Than You. The entire match was played on Anubis. The name might suggest that Panico were destined to lose this match. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our partner won 19–17 after extra time. In their next match, they faced Miracle5. Unfortunately, there wasn’t quite the same level of competition in this match, and our partner won just one round.

A match against the Poles
In Round 3, Panico eSports faced off against “RurkiBoys” and, as the name suggests, this was a team from Poland. Although it was a match against the Poles, we didn’t see Mirage here. However, we did see what is probably the second most frequently played map by Polish teams, Dust II. After the first half, Panico eSports were leading 7–5. In the second half, they really stepped up a gear, losing just one round and ultimately winning the whole map 13–6.

“_Voila_” deserves praise for the impact he made during this match. Although he could have chosen a different match, I don’t think anyone likes seeing the Poles get beaten. A KD ratio of 2.09, 23 eliminations and just 11 deaths. These are Panico eSports’ statistics from this match:
A win in a lost match?
In their last match, Panico faced “VPF3”. The name would suggest some sort of VP Future line-up, as would the logo, for that matter. However, it’s more likely to be a typical fake account. Panico originally lost this match 4–13, with the entire match played on Dust II. So why did they “win”? A player with the nickname swh33 had his account banned for playing on a second smurf account and for circumventing FACEIT’s verification process. To cut a long story short, this isn’t his first account, and FACEIT has for some time now introduced the option to verify profiles using ID. It seems this Kazakh player decided to use someone else’s ID, for which he was banned.
What does the future hold for Panico in Entry?
We hope it’s a bed of roses. After four rounds, our partner has three wins and one defeat to their name. This currently puts them in 33rd place in the league, but as we know, there’s still a long way to go until the end of the group stage, and Panico face two challenges this week.
