Although we didn’t cover the changes in the Cybersport rankings a week ago, we’re now back with a round-up of the latest September standings. And it has to be said that the end of the month brought a few significant shake-ups, which have clearly freshened up the table.
At the very top, however, there were no surprises. ESC continues to hold onto first place comfortably, with Reason Gaming close behind. Rounding off the podium is Venom, which once again confirms its consistent form. Further down the table, there was certainly more going on. ex-Inner Circle climbed two places and jumped just behind the podium. Betclic Apogee, on the other hand, dropped down the rankings and this time found itself in sixth place, just below Phantom. It’s also worth noting that, despite these changes, TNC is still holding its own firmly in the top ten.
How are our partners faring in the Cybersport rankings?
Before we move on to the latest changes in our partners’ positions, let’s recap the situation from previous rankings. We didn’t prepare a summary for you last week, so if you’d like to see what the ranking looked like two weeks ago, you can check out the previous article. This makes it easier to see which teams are on the rise and which still need to work on stabilising their form.
The good news is coming primarily from the Hussars camp. “Husaria” have moved up one place in the table and are now in 15th position. This is proof that the team is starting to find its feet and may well join the battle for the top of the table in the coming weeks. Similarly, Constrict Gaming have improved their position, climbing to 20th place. The “Snakes” have been hovering around the second ten for some time now, and it looks as though, step by step, they are trying to build a solid foundation for their continued climb up the table.
Nexium POLteam, on the other hand, has maintained its position this time and remains in 23rd place. This is not a spectacular result, but it demonstrates a degree of consistency which, with further work, could lead to a return to the top 20. It is also worth noting that there haven’t been many matches in recent days where teams from the lower divisions could realistically compete for points. Therefore, the fact that Nexium has not dropped any further can be seen as a sign of stability. If they manage to maintain this form, it is only a matter of time before they start challenging for higher positions in the standings.

What lies ahead for our partners?
This period of relative calm is coming to an end. The 55th season of ESEA kicks off on 6 October, which, as usual, will be one of the key events for teams looking to climb the Cybersport rankings. Even earlier, today, the open qualifiers for the first return edition of the Immunity League get underway, with the tournament itself starting on 15 October. These matches are sure to have a real impact on the league table, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the teams’ progress right from the start. Nor should we forget what is, so far, the biggest LAN tournament on the underground scene: the Galaxy Cup. Registration will remain open until 10 October, and the tournament itself should kick off shortly afterwards, giving our partners another chance to test their skills and earn ranking points.
All this means that the coming weeks are shaping up to be really intense. In the next rankings, we can expect more significant changes than last time, and our partners will have the perfect opportunity to fight for higher positions and showcase their form at the start of the new underground season.
