On 13 January, the results of the SUPERIONGG AWARDS 2024 were announced. We’re back with the next – and second – edition of this poll. We’re aware of the mistakes we made last year and will do our best not to repeat them. We don’t yet know all the technical solutions we’ll be implementing for this project, but there’s a 90 per cent chance that the voting will take place entirely on our website.
What about the prizes, then?
There are strong indications that the winners of the community polls will receive gifts. It’s also worth noting that if an organisation, team or project that has changed ownership wins, we’ll first contact the former owner, with whom we collaborated during the years that such a partnership was in place. However, there’s only one such case.
When will the voting take place?
It is likely to begin on 2 January 2026 and will last for 14 days. A few or a dozen or so days before the start, a test vote will be launched; this will not affect the results, but it will be of great help to us in testing the system we are preparing for you.
SUPERIONGG AWARDS 2025 Categories
This year, there will be just two community-voted categories: Team of the Year and Tournament of the Year. For a project to be nominated in either category, the team or tournament organiser must meet the criteria. As was the case last year, the criteria will depend on whether the project has an active partnership.
Teams/organisations
Tournaments
- for active partnerships: a minimum of 3 months’ activity,
- in the case of partnerships that are no longer active, a minimum of 6 months’ activity whilst the partnership was active
- active partnership status or a minimum of 2 organised tournaments (if the partnership is inactive)
It is also worth noting that a year ago, when we used the term ‘tournament of the year’, we were actually referring to the organiser (overall performance throughout the year). Due to the small number of tournaments organised by our partners this year, only the tournaments themselves will be nominated. For example, the Feather Cup itself will not be nominated; instead, the Feather Cup T-1 and the Feather Cup: Autumn Edition will be nominated.
Awards selected by the editors…
Just like last year, our editors will once again cast their votes, and we’ll present the results of the poll to you in a separate ‘editors’ choice’ category. It is worth noting that Immunity: Return will be excluded from this category, as 100% of the tournament’s management team consists of editors from our website, and we want the poll to be fair in every possible way.
Just like last year, the editors will select the PARTNER OF THE YEAR, and in the context of the tournament, this refers to the organiser. We’ll explain the reasoning behind our choices in an article.
Don’t follow the underground scene anymore?
Do you want to cast your vote, but don’t follow the underground scene as closely as you used to? Don’t worry – from today, there’ll be one article a day presenting a nomination for the vote, including various details about the nominated project or tournament. The nominations will be presented in the following order: Teams/Organisations, Tournaments, in alphabetical order.
You can support the SUPERIONGG AWARDS 2025.
We have a set budget for the prizes in these polls, but you can do your bit by contributing to our fundraising page:
Donations made between 20 November 2025 and 15 January 2026 will be used to fund prizes and gifts for the winners.
Teams or tournament organisers who are no longer actively collaborating with us but have been nominated for the AWARDS may request that their nomination be removed via our Discord server or by emailing contact@superion.gg.
