SLAKE are currently competing in the 52nd season of ESEA Intermediate. After two weeks, they unfortunately have a negative record of 1 win and 3 defeats. However, before we judge them, it’s worth taking a closer look at the results.
The first match took place a week ago on Tuesday at 8.00 pm, against the team ‘vkusnoitochka’, with the entire match played on the Anubis map. Unfortunately, our partner started with a defeat, losing 6–13.

They played their second match two days later, on Thursday, also at 20:00. Their opponents were a team from the UK, competing under the name ‘Adept Club’. We watched the map unfold in much the same way as in the previous match, and the result was almost identical, as our partner won just one round more.

Fortunately for our partners, the third match proved to be a turning point, as SLAKE secured their first victory of the 52nd ESEA Intermediate season on the de_nuke map. Their opponents were “Leca FC Aurora”.

Yesterday’s match, against an opponent competing under the banner of “13 AVG”, unfortunately did not go our partner’s way either, just like the first two matches. The match took place on a Polish server, on the Polish map de_mirage. Unfortunately, 13 AVG dominated SLAKE with a score of 13–3.

After the first four rounds, SLAKE’s record stands at 1–3. We hope to see them in better form in the upcoming matches. Whilst the match against Jerusa Juggernauts will go ahead, our partner in the match against Geci Gamers is likely to receive a walkover, as their opponents have only one player in their line-up.

As SLAKE’s partner, we believe that we’ll soon have the chance to see our partner put in a better performance. That’s what we’d wish for them and their fans. After all, nobody likes losing, do they? Whilst the match against Jerusa Juggernauts may prove a tough nut to crack, our partner should be the favourites against Geci Gamers. However, as we all know, the favourites don’t always win.
