Young Stars Talents got off to a poor start in the 52nd season of ESEA Main, beginning this year’s campaign with five consecutive defeats. Fortunately, this was followed by three consecutive wins, which improved our partners’ record slightly, though it still doesn’t look great at the moment. Will Young Stars bounce back from this losing streak and manage to even out their record? We’ll find out in the coming days, but for now, let’s take a look at our partners’ latest results in ESEA Main.
11:13 vs. WiLD, ancient
As you can see from the score, it was a close call in this match – just two points, and one away from overtime. After the first half, the score was 5:7, and our partner had to chase the score; unfortunately, they ultimately failed and suffered their first defeat in ESEA Main in the very first round.
6:13 vs. Dragon eSports
The next match, against Dragon eSports/Sabrina, was also played on the de_ancient map. Unfortunately, the Poles had little to say in this match, with the opponents winning 13-6.

Third time lucky, right?
Not this time, though when it comes to maps, the saying holds true. A third Ancient in a row, a third defeat in a row. With yet another Ancient, the opponents increasingly dominated the match. First a closely fought match against WiLD, then a 6-13 loss to Dragon eSports, and now 2-13 against SuperiorEsports.

First Nuke, similar result.
First match on a different map, but a similar result. Young Stars lost this match 2-13 on the de_nuke map. Although we can’t really complain here, as the opposition is a notch above us. Our partner’s opponent was the MAESTRO team.

YS Talents back in the fight
In Round 5, Young Stars showed that despite their recent poor results, they are still capable of putting up a fight in ESEA Main, as evidenced by the close result in this match. Unfortunately, it wasn’t close enough for us to see even an overtime. YS Talents lost again, 11-13. This time, however, it was on Mirage, and the score at half-time was 4-8. Our partner’s opponent was the “CBUMP TEAM”.

A breakthrough
Another 13-11 result, fortunately this time in our partner’s favour; their opponents were Wave Esports, and the entire match took place on Nuke. After the break, YS Talents didn’t have to chase the score, as they were leading 7-5 at half-time.

You could even say the third, as our partner had previously lost 11-13. The match was played on the de_ancient map, where the score at half-time was 7-5 in our partner’s favour. Could winning the first half have been the key to victory? Our partners’ opponents were the “7X” team.

First walkover
In our partners’ favour, of course; the ENTERPRISE GEN players did not show up on the server, meaning YS Talents won by walkover, though ‘did not show up’ is a bit of an exaggeration, as there are only three Czechs in the team.

After 8 rounds, YS Talents have a record of 3 wins and 5 defeats; next Tuesday they will face their next opponents – mXm – at 8.00 pm. Two days later (Thursday), at the same time, they will face VIVID UTD. Both rivals have the same record: 1-6.
