The Separatists & YNG SKiLLZ following the conclusion of the OG League.

The OG League season has come to an end. Two of our partners, YNG SKiLLZ and The Separatists, were competing in the second division. Unfortunately, neither YNG nor The Separatists managed to secure promotion to the top division. It’s worth noting that this was a debut season for these teams, so no one really expected them to be promoted in their very first season.

The Separatists

They ultimately finished fifth in the table, having scored 52 goals and conceded 40, giving them a goal difference of +12. Nine wins, two draws and seven defeats gave them a total of 29 points. They were three points behind fourth place. During the season, this partner was featured in five articles. The number would likely have been higher had it not been for our technical break. Below are all the results involving our partner, listed in reverse chronological order from the final matchday to the first.

Following the conclusion of the OG League, the organisers announced a number of honours for The Separatists’ players – though ‘a few’ is an understatement in this case.

Team of the Week Honours

In each round, players received honours as part of the Team of the Round or Team of the Week. Machs was the most frequently honoured player from The Separatists, appearing in almost every Team of the Week.

YNG SKiLLZ

For YNG SKiLLZ, this was also their first season in the OG League. They finished just behind The Separatists. Nine wins, two draws and seven defeats gave them the same number of points as the aforementioned ‘Vultures’ (29). They finished lower down the table due to their goal difference: 41 scored, 40 conceded. As they themselves write on their social media, it was a successful debut season.

Not a single YNG SKiLLZ player made it into the Second League Team of the Season. We won’t hide the fact that this seems a little strange, given that The Separatists, who finished one place higher, had two representatives. Perhaps this is because The Separatists are built around individual talent. However, there were places for YNG players in other categories.
