The NSQ team is slowly getting back into the swing of things. They’ve recently played three matches (two in the Arrmy Open and one in the ALS). These were certainly tough encounters for them, but they managed to come through them with their heads held high.
First match in the Amateur Server League
Matches in the ALS bring plenty of excitement and often plenty of laughter, as these aren’t top-tier competitions, not even at the underground level. NSQ played their match against BlacMonkeyk. The pistol round and the two rounds that followed went to our partner. Later, it was the opponents who sought to seize the initiative; after a back-and-forth exchange of rounds, they eventually succeeded and levelled the score at 4–4. They weren’t about to stop there. They also took the next four rounds, and the first half of the match ended with a score of 8–4 in BlacMonkeyk’s favour.
In the second half, however, NSQ got off to a very good start, taking three rounds to close the gap to 7–8. Their opponents had no intention of giving up, and it was they who seized the initiative, winning three consecutive rounds to take an 11–7 lead. By the end of the match, that lead had narrowed by one point, but it was not squandered, and it was BlacMonkeyk who won the match 13–8.
NSQ’s matches in the Arrmy Open league
The opening match of Arrmy Open Season 12 did not go well for NeptykSquad. They suffered a heavy 13–1 defeat. Starting the season with a 0–1 record, they did not give up, however, and on Thursday played their second match, this time securing more rounds.
It didn’t start well for them, though, as their opponents won the first two rounds and even took a 4–0 lead. Despite this, by the end of the eighth round, the score was 4–4. Our partner had no intention of letting their run stop there and took it all the way to 7–5 by the end of the first half.
The pistol round gave the opponents a chance to close the gap, which they capitalised on to level the score at 7–7. Just as in the first half, NeptykSquad didn’t give up, and the next two rounds went their way. The opponents, having won a single round, looked dangerous if they were to go on a run. However, that didn’t happen, and NSQ won the match 13–9, ending the first week of the Arrmy Open with a 1–1 record.
