The battle for the play-offs in ArrMY’s 16th season is heating up

- -

The regular season of ArrMY’s 16th season is entering its decisive stage. Most teams have already played several rounds of matches, and with each passing round, the standings in all divisions are becoming increasingly clear. For some, this is the time to build a lead ahead of the battle for the play-offs. For others, it’s the last chance to make up ground and stay in contention for the top spots.

So, once again, we’re checking in to see how our partners are faring. In the Open division, NPK II continues to add to its winning tally. However, the situation in the table remains more complicated than the winning streak alone might suggest. In the Rising division, Nisla Rakov, Constrict Gaming and Visionary played further crucial matches. Each of these fixtures had a significant impact on the standings in Group B. Meanwhile, in the Masters division, VoFoxen Esport are looking increasingly strong, having recorded a run of three wins following a difficult start to the season. Vandals Clan also remain on a winning streak, consistently strengthening their position at the top of the table.

Most teams now have only a few regular-season matches remaining… That’s why every upcoming match could prove crucial in the battle for a place in the play-offs.

ArrMY Open

NPK II continues to win, but the battle for the top spots is only just beginning

Since the last round-up, NPK II have added another victory to their tally. This time, the team secured a full three points following a walkover against INKUSP. As a result, they have maintained their winning streak and improved their record ahead of the final stages of the regular season.

Although further victories are always welcome, NPK II’s situation is not quite as comfortable as it might seem. The first match of the season ended in defeat, whilst matches won by walkover count only as a 10 result. This means that their round record remains significantly weaker than that of teams who regularly secure victories on the server. However, in the event of a tie on points, this could prove crucial to the final league table standings.

The coming days will therefore be extremely important for the team. Later today, NPK II will face Velocity e-sports, and on Sunday they have another match against Eclipse Esports. It is these matches that could not only earn them further points but, above all, improve their map and round records, which could play a crucial role in the season’s final stages.

Once these matches are over, the team will only have the final draw for their two remaining opponents to go through, meaning that the Open will slowly be entering the decisive phase of the competition. Every further victory will bring NPK II closer to promotion, though this time a full haul of points alone may not be enough. The team will also want to prove their worth without relying on walkovers and finish the regular season as high up the table as possible.

ArrMY Rising

Nisła Raków maintains its place at the top of Group B

Nisla Rakov has completed another series of matches in Group B of the Rising division. Although they started with a defeat, the team responded very quickly with a convincing victory. As a result, they remain among the very top of the table.

Their first opponent was Total Esport, who proved the better side on Mirage, winning 7–13. It wasn’t the ideal start to the round, but the team didn’t have to wait long for a chance to bounce back. In their next match, Nisla Rakov faced Constrict Gaming on Dust 2 and dictated the pace of the game from the outset. Ultimately, the match ended in a resounding 13–4 victory, allowing them to quickly get back on the winning track.

Thanks to these results, the team’s record now stands at 4 wins and 1 defeat, putting Nisla Rakov in a very strong position heading into the final stages of the regular season. However, the team’s work is not yet done. Today, the team will play their next match against WolfTeamGuys, which could prove crucial in the battle for the highest possible position in the group.

The closer we get to the end of the season, the more important every point becomes. Nisla Rakov has already proven that it can learn quickly from its defeats. The upcoming matches, however, will show whether the team can maintain its high form and finish the regular season amongst the top teams in Rising.

A tough round for Constrict Gaming

Constrict Gaming has just come through by far the toughest stretch of the season so far. Although the team started the campaign with a 30 record, it is worth remembering that two of those victories were by walkover. The subsequent run of matches proved to be much more demanding.

The problems began with a heavy defeat against 4wb. On the Nuke map, Constrict Gaming won just two rounds and ultimately lost 2–13. A chance for a quick bounce-back came in the match against Nisła Raków, but once again their opponents proved to be clearly the better side. The match, played on Dust 2, ended in a 4–13 defeat.

However, the team’s troubles did not end there. In their next scheduled match, Constrict Gaming forfeited to 0SEVEN, adding a third consecutive loss to their tally. As a result, what had been a very promising start to the season no longer looked quite so impressive, and their position in the table has become considerably more complicated.

The team still has a few matches to play, so the chances of improving their position remain very real. However, if Constrict Gaming wants to stay in the running for the top spots in Group B, their upcoming matches will require a much better performance than that shown in recent days.

Visionary are looking for a breakthrough ahead of the season’s finale

Since our last round-up, Visionary have played just one match, but it was an extremely close contest. Their opponents were WolfTeamGuys, and the final result was only decided in overtime. Both teams fought a fierce battle on Ancient, with no winner emerging after regular time. Ultimately, their opponents fared better in the extra rounds, winning 1416 and leaving Visionary with yet another painful defeat.

Despite this setback, the team still has a chance to improve their points tally. Later today, Visionary will face Total Esport. On Sunday, they face another challenging match against TEB Esport Pro. It is these two matches that could largely determine the team’s position heading into the final stages of the regular season.

With time running out before the end of the competition, the margin for error is getting smaller and smaller. Visionary have already shown that they can put up a close fight even against tough opponents. Now, the most important thing will be to turn their good form into victories that will allow them to keep pace with the leaders of Group B.

ArrMY Masters

VoFoxen Esport returns to the fight for the top spots

After a somewhat disappointing start to the season, VoFoxen Esport is beginning to find its stride. The team has racked up three consecutive victories, which have turned their situation in the table around and put them back in contention for the top spots. The run began with a 13:9 victory over Locura Gatos on Mirage. This was an important step towards recovery from earlier setbacks, but the real test came on the following day of competition.

First, VoFoxen faced iashb123 on Anubis. The match proved to be extremely evenly matched, and it took extra time to decide the winner. Ultimately, it was VoFoxen who kept their cool and won 16–14, adding an extremely valuable victory to their tally. Shortly afterwards, the team returned to the server, this time to face Monki Flip. This time, there were no major nerves, and the Ancient match ended with a score of 137.

Thanks to three consecutive wins, the team’s record improved from 12 to 42. Just a few days ago, VoFoxen were still chasing the Masters leaders. Today, however, they are once again among the teams realistically contending for the top spots ahead of the play-offs. If they manage to maintain their current form in their upcoming matches, the start of the season may well turn out to have been nothing more than a brief blip.

Vandals Clan remain among the very best

Vandals Clan are not letting up and continue to be among the strongest teams in the Masters division. Since the last round-up, the team have added further victories to their tally, confirming that they have been in very consistent form since the start of the season. As the competition enters its decisive phase, every victory can be of immense importance in the battle for the best possible seeding ahead of the play-offs.

The first of the matches in question was a rescheduled fixture against iashb123. The match, played on Ancient, ended in a 13–9 victory for Vandals Clan, allowing the team to add further valuable points to their tally. Shortly afterwards, the team also secured a victory following a walkover conceded by partyjniaki67, which further improved their position in the standings.

However, the team’s commitments do not end there. Vandals Clan will play their next match today, with Locura Gatos as their opponents. This will be another opportunity to extend their winning streak and remain among the very top of the ArrMY Masters standings. After all, the closer we get to the end of the regular season, the more important every match becomes. That is why maintaining their current momentum could prove crucial in the battle for the highest possible position before the start of the play-offs. If Wandale can maintain their current form, they should remain among the main contenders to play a significant role in the decisive part of the season as well.

The end of the ArrMY regular season is drawing ever closer

There is less and less time left until the end of the ArrMY regular season, and the upcoming rounds could completely reshuffle the league tables in all divisions. Some teams are already very close to securing their place in the play-offs, whilst others are still fighting to make up ground and keep their promotion hopes alive.

The coming days promise to be exceptionally intense. NPK II face their final crucial matches ahead of the final draw to determine their opponents. Nisla Rakov will be looking to hold onto their place at the top of the Rising division, whilst Visionary and Constrict Gaming will battle to improve their standing in the group. In the Masters, meanwhile, a very interesting contest is underway, with both VoFoxen Esport and Vandals Clan having a realistic chance of finishing the regular season in the top positions. Every subsequent map will carry increasing significance, which is why the end of the ArrMY season promises to be incredibly exciting. All the signs suggest that the battle for the promotion spots will go down to the very last matches of the regular season.
