Partner's Guide to VPG Poland

The new season of the VPG Poland league kicks off today. A new season usually brings with it a flurry of transfer activity. Among our partner teams, there has been cause for both joy and sadness. Many players have left our partner clubs, but on the other hand, we’ve also been reading about new faces. Will these transfer moves prove to be a hit? Certainly not every move will be, but we’ll return to assessing our partners’ transfers at the end of the season.

The Separatists

In football clubs, just like in real life… things don’t always go our way. Someone has to be at the bottom for someone else to be at the top. It was no different for The Separatists. The Vultures’ form wasn’t exactly top-notch last season either, but they did manage to stay in the top flight. However, they were unable to repeat that feat last season. The club finished in 10th place, which wasn’t enough to secure the much-desired top-flight status.

A few days before the start of the new season, the club announced some new signings. We hope that these new players will provide a real boost to The Separatists’ squad and that we will soon see them back in the top flight within the VPG Polska structure. Let’s start with the new signings. A total of nine new players have joined the club. Some of them are likely to make their debut today, whilst the rest will have to wait for their debut.

New season, new challenges

We wish them the best of luck in their new colours! The Separatists competed in the first division last season. At the end of the season, our partner finished in 14th place, which this time meant direct relegation rather than a play-off. They scored only 17 points. In the new season, VPG Polska will begin their campaign in the second division. This distinguished group includes teams such as: MF Killers, Hooligans PL (promoted from the third division), Brda Przechlewo, Saint Wolves, Offside Crew, Dark Ritual, Casual Kickers, Banditos FC, Vendetta PL, Nie Chce Mi Sie, FC Shadow Stars, CocoGang eSport, Mendeksy.

The Separatists will kick off their campaign with a match against the second division newcomers, our partners — Hooligans PL. The match is set to kick off today at 8.40 pm. Twenty-five minutes after the start of this match, The Separatists face another fixture, this time against our former partners — MF Killers. All that remains is for us to wish them the best of luck, and for the new players to enjoy as many debuts and reasons to celebrate as possible in their new colours!

• vs. MF Killers, W. — 21:05

Line-up

If we were to play the tipster, we’d predict that The Separatists will ultimately be promoted to the top flight, finishing in second place.

Hooligans EN

Last season, they secured promotion to the second division whilst playing in the third. It’s not always easy being a newcomer. Usually, they’re the first to be tipped for relegation. However, in virtual clubs, just like in the Polish top flight, anything can happen. Compared to other partners, Hooligans PL did not make as many transfers as the others, but on the other hand, they did not have to say goodbye to nearly a quarter of their squad. Only “BombelekKez” left the squad, and a few days after his departure, “gonzo394” was announced as his replacement. Gonzo is the new centre-back.

Squad

There is only one goalkeeper in the Hooligans PL squad for this season. The transfer window isn’t over yet. It doesn’t seem as though the team intends to play with just one goalkeeper. We can see a very deep defensive line-up, with as many as seven defenders. Meanwhile, the club has only two strikers.

As we mentioned earlier in the section on The Separatists, the opening match will be against them. It is scheduled to kick off today at 8.40 pm. Following this fixture, Hooligans PL will face Mendeksy at home. We predict that Hooligans PL will ultimately finish the season in third place, which, given their status as a newly promoted side, should still be a good result. Nevertheless, we wish the team promotion, just as we do for every partner playing in the second or third division.
