Lately – whether we’re talking about the past few weeks or even days – it’s become popular to post ‘statements’ on social media. It seems only right to comment in some way on what’s been happening around us recently. So, our partnership with Prime Bulls has been suspended for 30 days; around 6–7 April, we will make a final decision on whether the aforementioned entity will remain in the affiliate programme. One team has also left the affiliate programme for this reason.
We respect their decision, so we hope we won’t have to comment on this further.
However, let us now turn to the NSQ statement. Around three days ago, we could read the following on their X profile: the criticism was directed at the organisers of the “ACE Arena” tournament.
As can be seen from the comments under the tweet, fortunately there was no entry fee. It was only the second season that was supposed to have an entry fee, but that one will likely not take place either. We would like to warn you against such tournament organisers, though do not rule out future tournaments without entry fees, for the scene to develop we must give new projects a chance, but those that are ‘poorly’ organised must be ‘exposed’. It is important, when the first season is without an entry fee, to make an effort to build a reputation for the tournament organiser; this did not happen in this case. After asking the administrator for the GOTV IP address, it took 24 hours before the players received a reply: “Then write to those who are playing”.

It’s understandable that the first season without an entry fee might be a ‘trial run’ for the organiser, so that the second one runs smoothly, but when the organiser themselves doesn’t have time for their own tournament – it doesn’t look good.
Of course, no one expects a tournament with no entry fee and no prize pool to be of a high or even average standard, but let’s not forget that organising a tournament of average standard (in terms of organisation) requires nothing more than willingness and time.
It’s a shame that such situations occur in our underground scene. It’s good that none of the entities promoting tournaments undertook to promote this one. It’s important to publicise such situations so that those responsible for creating this tournament do not get involved in such an initiative again.

Don’t worry, we won’t be publishing every statement from our partners – though fortunately there were hardly any, apart from one team, and in the case of NSQ we felt the issue was worth publicising.
