Is Young Stars Academy on the road to success in ESEA Entry?

- -

Another week has passed, and the 54th ESEA season shows no signs of slowing down. This time, we’re heading back to the Young Stars Academy to see how they’re getting on in the Entry Division. Judging by the results, it’s safe to say that things are looking promising. In our previous article, we reported a 3–3 record; however, after two more matches, the team has improved that to a solid 5–3. Will Young Stars maintain this excellent run until the end of the regular season and secure a high position ahead of the next stage of the competition?

Is Young Stars AC’s winning streak a genuine run of form, or just a temporary resurgence?

Polska Young Stars Academy [13:11] 🇹🇷 Erciyes Wolves | Mirage

The clash with Erciyes Wolves looked set to be a closely fought contest from the outset, and that’s exactly what it was. The first half saw the opponents in slight control, ending it with a narrow 5–7 lead. However, a two-round lead was by no means decisive, and there were moments in Young Stars’ play that offered hope of turning the match around after the break.

The second half of the match was a much more fiercely contested exchange. Both teams fought for every point, and the pressure mounted with each successive round. YS Academy managed to capitalise on their chances and maintain their focus at crucial moments. In the decisive phase of the match, it was they who kept their cool, which resulted in a 13–11 victory and a solid step towards improving their league position.

Polska Young Stars Academy [13:10] 🇬🇧 Tropic Thunder | Ancient

The second match in today’s round-up took place on the Ancient map. And… once again, it was a nail-biting affair. In the first half, Tropic Thunder largely dictated the pace of the game, allowing them to finish it with a narrow 5:7 lead. Young Stars Academy, although they had to chase the score, still kept pace with their opponents and remained in contention for victory.

After the sides switched ends, the pattern of the match didn’t change drastically, and we continued to witness a closely fought battle for every point. Both teams were looking for a way to tip the balance in their favour, but it was YS who managed to capitalise on their chances at the decisive moments. The closing stages belonged to Akademia, who, thanks to their cool heads and effective decision-making, secured their second victory.

The Academy faces further challenges in the ESEA

Two consecutive victories have seen Young Stars Academy make its presence felt in the Entry division. The team has proven that it can turn matches around and keep a cool head at crucial moments, which may prove to be the key to further success. If they maintain their form, this winning streak could lay a solid foundation for a high ranking ahead of the knockout stage.

The coming days, however, will bring further challenges. Today at 8.30 pm, Akademia will face :de: EmiliaTopWaifu, and in just two days’ time, on 13 August, also at 8.30 pm, they will take on Rosja NPC. Both matches could prove crucial in the battle for league position, so it’s well worth keeping a close eye on Akademia’s progress.
