After a break of over a month, we’re back with our analysis of the Underground | CS2 Community rankings. The scene hasn’t been idle in the meantime… We’ve seen shake-ups at the very top, unexpected rises from the middle of the table, and several sharp drops for teams that were, until recently, battling for a place on the podium. So it’s time to catch up and trace how the balance of power has shifted from the second half of January right up to the latest standings. In this article, we’ll first look at the end of January, then move through the turbulent start of February, and finally focus on the current standings and the new leader of the rankings.
Late January – 95Vikings in control, the battle for the podium continues

On 19 January, 95Vikings remained at the top of the Underground | CS2 Community rankings with 331 points. Their lead over the rest of the field was clear, and at first glance they might have seemed out of reach for their rivals. Behind them, however, a very interesting battle for the podium was underway. Team Fairus and Lunacy NXT were consistently picking up points and keeping pace with the leaders. The gaps within the TOP 5 were not large enough to suggest complete control of the situation. A single poor result could significantly alter the balance of power, especially as the teams in 3rd to 5th place were relatively close to one another.
In the middle of the table, there was greater turnover and a fight for every point. Victoria Nostra and MiVORI hovered on the edge of the top five, trying to stabilise their form. Meanwhile, NPK and Ignis Five maintained a solid, albeit uneven, pace. The lower half of the table was far from dead either… Teams at the bottom were slowly building their positions, and the points gap was beginning to narrow. 19 January can therefore be seen as a moment of relative stability at the top, but with clear tension simmering beneath the surface. The pressure on the leader was mounting, even if the table did not yet fully reflect this.

On 26 January, the situation at the top of the Underground | CS2 Community rankings looked stable on paper. 95Vikings still held first place. However, their points tally began to shrink. Their lead over Team Fairus and Lunacy NXT was no longer as comfortable as before, which only served to heat up the atmosphere in the battle for the top spot. Particularly interesting was the clear sign that the top of the table was tightening, and in the coming weeks we may witness a real change in the top position.
The biggest positive surprise of this ranking was TW E-Sports, which recorded a spectacular rise of eight places and jumped into the TOP 10. This was one of the biggest leaps during that period, demonstrating just how dynamic the ranking can be. In the middle of the table, an intense battle was underway. NPK improved its position, whilst Victoria Nostra and MiVORI experienced fluctuations. Meanwhile, new teams such as Horizon Youngsters began to make their presence felt. The end of January thus brought clear signs of impending changes. The leader’s dominance was no longer a given, and the scene was entering a phase of increasing competition.
Early February – shake-ups in the TOP 5 and mounting pressure on the leader

On 2 February, the Underground | CS2 Community rankings revealed the first truly significant cracks in the existing balance of power. 95Vikings still held onto first place, but their points tally was steadily declining from its January peak. This was a sign that the lead built up over previous weeks was beginning to run out of steam. Lunacy NXT jumped into second place, overtaking Team Fairus and clearly demonstrating that they are the most serious contenders to take the top spot. The gaps at the very top began to narrow, and the battle for the TOP 3 took on a new intensity.
The shuffling within the top five only served to highlight just how evenly matched the scene had become. Victoria Nostra and Lunacy Gaming swapped positions as they sought stability. Meanwhile, TW E-Sports maintained their high form and looked increasingly confidently towards the podium. The middle of the table remained very tight in terms of points, meaning that a single better result could mean a jump of several places. The start of February did not yet bring a change of leader, but the atmosphere surrounding first place was clearly tense.

On 9 February, the situation in the Underground | CS2 Community became even more dynamic. Lunacy Gaming climbed to third place, pushing Team Fairus off the podium and confirming that the project is developing at a very good pace. TW E-Sports continued its steady march up the table, consolidating its position among the leaders and showing that its earlier rise was no one-off fluke. VYXON eSport also made a strong move, jumping into the TOP 10 and becoming a real contender in the battle for higher positions.
There was no shortage of excitement in the lower half of the table either. WKEYENJOYERS recorded a solid rise, whilst SH4RKS entered the rankings and quickly began climbing up, making their presence felt on the scene. On the other hand, MiVORI and Ignis Five began to fall behind the leaders, which shows just how ruthless the rankings can be even with a temporary dip in form. February clearly proved that 95Vikings can no longer feel safe. The pressure from Lunacy and the surging TW E-Sports grew week by week, heralding a possible breakthrough.
The latest Underground | CS2 Community ranking – a change of leader and a new chapter

In the latest update on 16 February, the Underground | CS2 Community rankings saw a real breakthrough. Lunacy NXT became the new leader with 267 points, overtaking Lunacy Gaming and TW E-Sports. This is a symbolic moment where, after many weeks of 95Vikings’ dominance, the scene has finally seen a change at the very top. Crucially, this is not a fluke resulting from a single good week, but the result of systematically building their position in previous rankings. Lunacy NXT consistently narrowed the gap to the leader, until finally capitalising on a moment of weakness from their rivals to take control of the rankings.
Behind them, the situation is also extremely interesting. Lunacy Gaming has confirmed that the project is developing in a very positive direction, taking second place and maintaining a stable form at a crucial moment in the season. TW E-Sports rounded off the podium, recording another solid rise and cementing its position as one of the biggest revelations of recent weeks. Atmosferka’s jump of seven places is also hugely impressive, making them one of the biggest winners of the update. 404, InHooxiWeTrust and SH4RKS also recorded solid gains, increasingly making their presence felt in the middle of the table. On the other hand, we see a sharp drop for NONAME, who have fallen by as many as ten places. This was one of the most noticeable setbacks of the past month. The current standings show that the scene is more evenly matched than ever. However, the narrow point margins mean that the next ranking could bring another change of leader.
New balance of power in the Underground | CS2 Community
The past month in the Underground | CS2 Community rankings has completely transformed the scene. 95Vikings’ dominance has come to an end, and Lunacy NXT has taken the top spot, having consistently built their position over successive rankings. Lurking just behind them, however, are their main squad, Lunacy Gaming, and the fast-rising TW E-Sports. This, in turn, promises an extremely close battle for first place.
The point differences at the top are not significant, and the middle of the table remains exceptionally tight. However, this means one thing… Every passing week could bring further shake-ups. If the pace of change continues, the battle for the number one spot is only just entering its most exciting phase.
