1. Firewolf Clan in the Galaxy Cup last-chance bracket

Firewolf Clan is a participant in the current edition of the Galaxy Cup. Firewolf will face significant challenges in progressing further, but since they’ve made their bed, they’ll have to lie in it – or at least give it a go.

The Galaxy Cup: Reborn Edition 3 is organised in a triple-elimination format, which means that teams can lose three times without being eliminated from the tournament. Each team has been placed in a group with other teams. Firewolf’s group included teams such as:

• Pandemonium
• Problem from Behind
• Constrict Gaming
• The Vynz
• Armitra
• Cobra Gaming
• men

Firewolf’s first match was against the last of the teams mentioned above. Unfortunately, it ended in defeat.

After this match, it was clear that Firewolf’s path would not be easy or pleasant. They knew they had to prepare well for their next match against Cobra Gaming. After a four-day break, the players won the match.

Following this fantastic performance, Firewolf Clan were drawn against Pandemonium, but ultimately the match did not take place at all due to a walkover, which saw Pandemonium win. Firewolf have been drawn against Armitra and know that this will also be a very demanding opponent for whom they must prepare well, as the team that loses this match will be eliminated from the tournament. The date of the match has not yet been set.

2. Avalanche.gg bids farewell to a player

It looks like we’re in for a repeat performance. Last season, halfway through the ARRMY Open S9 and shortly after the start of the ESEA Open S49, Avalanche.gg had issues with their fifth player. Here we go again… A few days ago, Avalanche.gg announced Bronzik’s departure from the CS2 squad. The reason is family matters, which meant the player could not continue playing.

We know from unofficial sources that the fifth player is already on trial. Perhaps he will be announced as the new player in a few days. The start of the ESEA Open has certainly accelerated the decision regarding the fifth player. We can reveal that his nickname begins with T.

3. Ravens secure another 6 points in ProLeague Polska plus a place in the next round of the European League

Iron Ravens have added 6 out of a possible 9 points to their tally across three matches in the ProLeague Polska. This time, the Iron Ravens lost only to the league leaders, Cunning Foxes. Their victories against Elektryczni Esports and Saint Wolvers were clean sheets. In the European league, the Ravens progressed further by defeating SC Paderborn 07 eSports 6-2 over two legs, thereby advancing to the semi-finals of the competition; they are currently awaiting the draw for their next opponent. If we analyse the Iron Ravens’ matches, the merger with Esport First was a good move from a transfer perspective; 17 points and fourth place in the Proleague Polska table speak for themselves, proving that the decision was the right one.

4. Esport First’s form on Monday: 4 consecutive wins in the EU league.

Esport First is in great form in the Monday matches of the European VPG league.

The results are as follows:

• 3-1 against Sunrise
• 3:0 against Linco
• 5–0 against Venom Pros
• 4:2 against Cyanide FC

A full haul of points – 12 in total. Congratulations to the team, and we’re hoping for more Mondays like this from them.

5. We’ve seen the Invictus League S2 fixture list

We recently wrote about how Invictus League S2 is just around the corner. In that same article, we also touched on the group stage, but we didn’t know any match dates as they were still being finalised.

We now know the schedule for almost all the matches to be played in the first round. The only teams that do not yet know when they will play their match are ŻółwOdTyłu and Inceptor Formula.

6. Hevind Esports has learned its opponents in the Galaxy Cup Reborn 2

Last Friday, the draw for the league phase of Galaxy Cup Reborn 2 took place. One of our partners taking part in this tournament is Hevind eSports. Which opponents did they draw?

The draw wasn’t particularly kind to us. Two teams from Cybersport’s TOP 15, plus the strong sides of Superion and Luvenis. There’s no point in hiding the fact that our relations with the tournament administration aren’t exactly rosy, which is why I believe this draw was fair, and the fact that we’ve been drawn against some of the best teams in the entire tournament can be considered a coincidence.

7. SLAKE out of Army S12

Unfortunately, this marks the end of the road for SLAKE in the 12th season of ARRMY Rising. In the first round, our partner faced a team that was ‘no pushover’, and indeed proved to be no pushover for SLAKE, although we did get to see all three maps in the match itself. We started with a battle on the Mirage map, which was the opponent’s choice. We even managed to win it, 13-9. It would seem that winning on the opponent’s pick gives a certain advantage. Perhaps in some cases or on the professional scene, but unfortunately not in this match. The next map was Nuke, which was chosen by our partner. We lost it 11–13. On the deciding map, Dust2, our partner unfortunately didn’t have much of a say and was demolished by the opponent, with the scoreboard showing 5–13.

Thus, SLAKE is out of the running for the ARRMY Masters. The next league in which we will be able to watch the SLAKE team is ESEA Intermediate (Season 53), whose fixtures will be drawn tomorrow.

The last few days and weeks have not been easy for our partner: elimination from ARRMY Open S12, and dropping into the last-chance bracket in the Galaxy Cup: Reborn Edition III (as we reported here). We hope, however, that they will kick off the new ESEA season with a bang and put their ARRMY Rising setback behind them.

8. LHG eliminated from ARRMY Open S12

A few of our partners are celebrating their progression to ever later rounds in the Arrmy Open playoffs, whilst others are already bidding farewell to these playoffs. Unfortunately, one of those saying goodbye is LHG. They finished the group stage with a 6-4 record and scraped through to the second phase. In their first match, however, they were not so lucky.

Their opponents turned out to be Heroes of Capybaras, a tough opponent, but one that seemed well within our partner’s reach. The first map was Mirage, chosen by our favourites. Unfortunately, despite a fight and some resistance, the opponents won 13-6.

The second map, this time chosen by the opposing team, was Anubis. A map on which LHG don’t feel out of their depth, and they had a chance to force a decisive Inferno. It started very well, but ended much like the first map. With a difference of just one round, the second map finished 7–13, and the entire match 0–2.

LHG ends its first season in the Army in the first round of the playoffs, which is a really good result, offering hope for success in the near future. Now our partner has a long break until the next season, during which they can train hard and hone their skills.

9. The Separatists with new signings ahead of the start of the VPG Poland league.

The Separatists announce three new signings just ahead of the start of the VPG Poland league. It looks like the squad is now complete and SEPY are ready to compete in the top flight. Each player is described in three brief points, and here we present the new signings.

10. Armitra moves into positive territory in ESEA Intermediate

Armitra started this ESEA Intermediate season with a 1:1 record. This quickly turned into 1:4. Despite this, our partner didn’t give up, and we recently reported on how they returned to a 4:4 record (article). Since then, they have played two more matches and are back on track.

Matches with a positive record

Their first match was against the German side FruchtLaborMain. The pistol round went to the German team. However, the Poles opted for a force round and broke through their opponents’ defence, soon taking a 3:1 lead. The opponents won one round, but Armitra started a run that only ended at 7-3. After a 1-1 exchange at the end of the first half, the score stood at 8-4 in favour of our partner. The second half saw total domination from the Polish team, who won the match 13-4.

The second match, this time against the French team 5DEMON, did not look like it would be an easy one. The opponents took the pistol round, and Armitra, just like in the previous match, decided to spend all their money on equipment. This time, the opponent was not caught off guard, and we saw a score of 3:0. Later, however, Armitra tipped the scales of victory in their favour and maintained this lead until the end of the half, which finished 9-3 in favour of the Polish team. In the second half, round after round of exchanges led to a score of 11:5, which Armitra capitalised on, closing out the match with a 13:5 victory.
