Partners on the road to success – how the ESEA season ended

The 55th ESEA season has officially come to an end, and we’ve been able to follow our partner teams’ progress up close. It’s been a time full of challenges, excitement and a fight for every point. From the opening matches in Open10, through fierce clashes in Intermediate, right up to the most demanding rounds in Main. For us, as the editorial team, our partners are more than just teams in the standings… They are teams whose fortunes we follow with passion, whose successes bring us joy, and whose defeats teach us humility. Every win, every promotion and every tough defeat is a story of hard work, perseverance and commitment. In this article, we take a look at how our partners fared last season.

Open10 – a difficult start to the season

Unfortunately, this season was full of challenges and drama for our partners in the Open10 division. G5 Esports began the campaign hoping for a solid start, but a 6–8 record in the regular season and a 1–2 result in the playoffs meant they failed to qualify. Despite this, the team showed character and determination, gaining valuable experience that will certainly pay off in future seasons.

YNG SKiLLZ fared slightly worse, finishing the season with a 5–9 record and being eliminated as early as the regular season. Whilst failing to qualify may be disappointing, the team repeatedly demonstrated their potential and fought until the very last round, proving that every match was an opportunity for them to learn and improve.

Ultimately, Open10 demonstrated that our partners, even in the lowest division, are capable of competing with passion and consistently striving towards their goals. Each subsequent season, however, offers a chance for better results and first promotions.

Partners in Entry – the first serious challenges

The Entry division proved to be a real test. Panico eSports finished the season with a 6–8 record, which unfortunately did not allow them to be promoted. Despite this, the team showed plenty of character and fighting spirit, and every round was an opportunity for them to learn and build experience for the future. VoFoxen Rising fared slightly better, achieving an 8–6 record in the regular season. In the playoffs, however, the team lacked luck and consistency, ending their campaign with a 1–2 record. Despite this, the Foxes’ academy proved that it can stand up to demanding opponents and is ready for further challenges.

Vandals Clan and Victoria Nostra were by far the best performers in the Entry division. After a superb regular season, where they posted a 9–5 record, the Vandals dominated the playoffs… Winning all their matches there to secure promotion to Intermediate. ViNo also finished this phase in a strong position, with a record of 10–4. This secured their promotion despite a 1–2 result in the playoffs.

So this season in Entry has shown that our partners are able to learn from every defeat and celebrate their successes. What’s more, every promotion is proof of their hard work and commitment.

Intermediate – the battle for promotion is getting tougher

For our partner teams, the Intermediate division was a real test of skill and perseverance. Unfortunately, not all teams managed to advance to Main, but each of them left a lot of heart and determination on the servers.

Lunacy Gaming, Saturlity Esport and VoFoxen finished the season with a 6–8 record, with the Foxes being the only ones to progress to the next stage. There, unfortunately, their adventure ended rather quickly with a 1–2 result. Despite this, each of these teams showed character and was able to stand up to demanding opponents, and the experience gained this season will be invaluable in future editions. The Hussars fared slightly better, achieving an 8–6 record in the regular season. In the playoffs, the team fought bravely, finishing with a 4–2 record, but promotion to the Main Division proved out of reach. Nevertheless, the team proved that it can compete at a high level and learn from every defeat.

POLteam were the undisputed leaders of the division. With a 9–5 record in the regular season and an impressive 7–1 in the playoffs, the team secured promotion to the Main, demonstrating strength, consistency and excellent teamwork at key moments of the season.

Thus, this division demonstrated that the path to the top divisions requires not only talent, but also experience, patience and a well-coordinated team.

Partners in the Main – time for the highest level

The Main division was where our partners faced the toughest opponents among the teams we support. Here, every round, every decision and every point was worth its weight in gold.

ViBe Gaming and Constrict Gaming finished the season with a 7–7 record. Unfortunately, this did not allow them to advance to the next stage and a higher division. Although none of our partner teams managed to progress further, both teams repeatedly demonstrated their potential and determination, fighting for every point in matches against demanding opponents.

Most importantly, the Main Division proved that even without promotion, our partners are capable of fighting to the end and gaining valuable experience. Every match was an opportunity to refine strategies, test team chemistry and demonstrate character.

Season summary – our partners in action

The past ESEA season showed just how varied the paths of our partner teams are. From difficult starts in Open10, through fierce competition in Entry and Intermediate, right up to the demanding Main division. Most importantly, however, every team left a piece of their heart on the servers. Congratulations on the successes achieved by Vandals Clan, Victoria Nostra and POLteam. Thanks to their excellent results in the regular season and the playoffs, they have secured promotion to higher divisions. The other teams have gained valuable experience that will certainly pay dividends in future seasons.

Now we eagerly await the next ESEA season… Where we’ll once again be able to follow their rivalry, report on the excitement and support them on their journey to further successes.
