Armitra Esports’ campaign in the Arrmy Masters and the ESEA play-offs

- -

We’re already a few weeks into the competition, and most teams are halfway through the Arrma League season. Unfortunately, Armitra cannot count this part of the season as a success. After five matches, their record stands at just 2–3, with only four matches remaining until the end of the regular season.

Three matches, one goal – how has Armitra fared in their recent fixtures?

  • Armitra Esports 8–13 Pandemoniumgg, Nuke
  • TNC Esports 13–7 Armitra Esports, Mirage
  • Armitra Esports 6–13 MiauStars, Anubis

Last week was certainly not a successful one for the Armitra players – at least in the Arrma League. The team played three matches, each ending in defeat, and their form clearly declined from match to match. First came the clash with Pandemonium, where, despite moments of good play, they managed to win only eight rounds – a result too low to pose a threat to the favourites. The next match looked set to be a little easier, but reality proved brutal – their opponents conceded just seven rounds to Armitra. The final match was the worst of all, with Armitra managing to secure just six rounds. Armitra now face a crucial end to the season – if they want to stay in the top division of Arrmy, they must finally show some bite.

What is Armitra’s situation in the ESEA Intermediate play-offs?

  • Armitra Esports 2–0 2krovno
    • Ancient, 13:4
    • Nuke, 13:1
    • Mirage, potential decider

The first match, which Malun briefly summarised in his previous article, went off without a hitch. The opposition posed no challenge whatsoever to Armitra, and the players confidently wrapped up the match in two maps. On Ancient, chosen by their opponents, they conceded just four rounds – two in each half. Nuke, the map chosen by Armitra, proved even more one-sided, with the opponents securing just a single round before the sides switched. This style of play is certainly appealing – quick, confident victories without the need for a decider map.

  • HUSKGG 0:2 Armitra Esports
    • Dust 2, 2:13
    • Ancient, 10:13
    • Mirage, potential decider

Although last week in the Arrma league was not a successful one, Armitra put in a much better performance in the ESEA competition, recording another confident victory. In their match against HUSKGG, the players won their map – Dust 2 – without too much trouble, conceding just two rounds to their opponents – one in each half. Ancient, chosen by their opponents, proved more of a challenge, but despite a closely fought contest, Armitra managed to tip the balance in their favour, winning 10–13. At half-time, the score was tied at 6–6, but in the second half, our team kept their cool and secured another victory.

Opponents on the horizon – who else will stand in Armitra’s way?

  • Arrmy Masters: Monday, 10 March, 21:00, hahahaha
  • ESEA Intermediate Playoffs: Tuesday, 11 March, 8.30 pm, CHAOX ESPORTS

Armitra have another intense week ahead of them. On Monday, they’ll face hahahaha, and the following day they’ll have the chance to take their revenge against Portugal’s CHAOX ESPORTS. Will they manage to break their losing streak and get back to winning ways?
