Throughout our history, we have announced partnerships with esports organisations far more often than with tournaments. Nevertheless, we’re returning to this to some extent, and we recently announced a partnership with the Amateur Server League; now it’s time to announce that we’ll be partnering with the Feather Cup tournament.
This tournament was established on the basis of the former EAL league, with which we also collaborated. The organiser is one of the three founders of the EAL, namely LertyArea. This is the first edition of the tournament, and the organiser has already announced that it certainly won’t be the last. The prize pool is 300 zł (breakdown: 1st place – 150 zł, 2nd place – 100 zł, 3rd place – 50 zł), and registration for the tournament is completely free. Initially, the number of teams was set at 16; however, following huge interest and a poll conducted on Discord, the number of teams has been increased to 24.
The tournament will be held as a knockout competition, with the first phase being a group stage. The 24 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 6 teams each, with only two teams advancing from each group. The play-offs will follow a standard single-elimination bracket. Registration has already begun on our partner’s Discord server, so we invite anyone interested to join us there. As soon as the tournament kicks off, we’ll be providing live coverage and the results will be updated in real time.
As the owner of the Feather Cup, I hope that, together with Superion, we will build a long-term partnership that will help both our projects grow within the Polish CS:GO community and bring together more and more players.
CEO of Feather Cup – LertyArea
We’re hoping that our partnership won’t end after the first season, which has been named T-1. We sincerely hope for a long-term partnership. After all, the more Counter-Strike 2 tournament organisers there are on the Polish scene, the better it is for the scene and the teams. In short: for everyone. It’s also worth noting that a report on this tournament will be published on our website. With a fresh new look. We’re also working on a solution to give readers access to results that are updated in real time. Provided, of course, that the tournament is played on FACEIT using the tournament system.
