The regular seasons of the world’s biggest ESEA leagues have come to an end. It’s time to take stock of how our partners have fared, this time in ESEA Entry. This prestigious group of teams includes: POLteam, Firewolf Clan and Gloris eSports (with a new line-up). Most importantly, each of them managed to reach the play-offs and secure a chance to fight for promotion.
POLteam
Starting with our partner who has been on the underground scene for by far the longest time. They began the season with a win and a loss – a 1:1 record – which suggested it wouldn’t be an easy season (more HERE). This was followed by a very impressive winning streak that lasted for six matches (more HERE and HERE). Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and this run also came to an end – but only once our partner had reached a 7:1 record. A losing streak followed, though fortunately a short one, lasting just two matches (more HERE). A comeback followed, and a very good one at that, as it secured a play-off spot for POLteam – and in Division A, no less, where promotion to ESEA Intermediate is guaranteed (more HERE). POLteam have therefore secured a place in the play-offs in Group A this season, where they will fight for promotion to ESEA Main, as their place in ESEA Intermediate is already guaranteed.

Firewolf Clan
Moving on, we have Firewolf Clan, whose line-up has changed between last season and this one. They started Season 53 with two defeats and a rather poor 0:2 record (more HERE). A win followed, but this was immediately overshadowed by another defeat, and their record remained negative. Despite this, our partner didn’t give up and showed a fighting spirit that saw them win as many as six matches in a row, completely turning their situation around from a 1:3 record to 7:3 (more HERE and HERE). However, the end of the season mirrored the start, and by the season’s close they had finished with a record of 8:6, thereby securing their place in the play-offs, where they will compete in Pot B for promotion to ESEA Intermediate.

Gloris eSports
Our final partner to have taken part in the 53rd season of ESEA Entry is Gloris eSports, who signed a new main squad midway through the season. This squad started the season with one win and two losses, giving them a 1:2 record. However, they then pulled themselves together and won four matches in a row, bringing their record to 5:2. This was followed by a run of three defeats, bringing the record back to an even 5:5. In the end, however, our partner gave 110 per cent and won their last four matches, finishing the regular season with a 9:5 record and 73rd place, securing them a place in the B bracket of the play-offs, where they will compete for promotion to ESEA Intermediate.
