The regular season of Arrmy Open S12 comes to an end tomorrow, although many teams have already finished their campaigns in this phase. One of them is our partner – Firewolf Clan. They got off to a flying start to the season, opening with a 7–0 record which secured them a place in the play-offs. But how did they fare in their last three matches? Did they manage to maintain their flawless record?
A very tough match for an 8–0 record
Firewolf Clan’s third-to-last opponent in this season’s Arrmy was ProblemOdTyłu. This is a strong side, which also recently knocked Armitre into the last-chance bracket in the Galaxy Cup. The match began with a won pistol round, which was unfortunately broken by the opponents; however, our partner also managed to break the run, thereby putting us in the lead at 4–1. Despite this, the opponents quickly levelled the score, and by the 8th round the score was 4–4. It didn’t end there, however, and ProblemOdTyłu went on to win every round until the end of the half, taking it with a score of 8–4.
The second pistol round of the match went to ProblemOdTyłu, which caused Firewolf Clan major problems. However, a comeback began, and the ‘wolves’ were now just three points away from a draw. Unfortunately, the opponents won one round, thereby pushing our partner further away from a draw. Firewolf Clan showed incredible fighting spirit, which ultimately led to the much-desired 11:11 draw. They even managed to reach match point, which they failed to convert, and the match went into extra time.
There, the OdTyłu team got off to a very good start on defence and won two out of three rounds on that side. Fortunately, our partner struck back once, giving them a chance to fight back in the second half. The opposition started very strongly, however, giving themselves two chances to win. The first was defended, but the second was not, and the match ended 16–14. And so, Firewolf Clan suffered their first defeat of the season, though it didn’t really matter as their place in the play-offs was already secured.

The remaining two easy matches
Next up was the match against ExInfernis. It looked set to be a very tough encounter for the ‘Wolves’, as their opponents had a similar record. Our partner, however, easily disposed of the opposition and added another victory to their impressive 8:1 record.

Arrma’s final opponent in the regular phase of the Open Firewolf Clan tournament was the Chitosy team. A very formidable name, though there was no sign of such strength on the server, and our partner added another easy victory to their record. They thus finished this phase with a 9:1 record, having lost only to the aforementioned ProblemOdTyłu. Their 7th place in the table will make their play-off matches easier, and they’ll find out who their first opponent is as early as Tuesday. An article summarising the performances of all our partners in this league will also be published then.
