Team Fairus has added another achievement to its virtual trophy cabinet. They had previously finished 3rd or 4th in the second season of the Amateur Server League, and a few days ago they played in the final of the ULL tournament. Unfortunately, the final did not go as our partner had hoped. It is worth noting that Team Fairus played the match with two stand-ins. We covered their journey to the knockout stage and their first play-off match a dozen or so days ago in the article:
Some time has passed since then – one technical break, so to speak. In the semi-final, they faced the team “SOT”. They managed to beat them 2–0 in maps. The second map turned out to be the most evenly matched contest of the series; on this map, we witnessed an overtime period, which ultimately went in our partner’s favour. The first map was Mirage, which also went to our partner; this time there was no overtime, and Team Fairus won the first map 13–9.

Final
The aforementioned final took place on 28 June 2025 at 8.30 pm. As the play-offs were contested using a double-elimination format, SOT dropped into the lower bracket, where they won all their matches, thus earning the chance to face Team Fairus in the grand final of the tournament. The match went the full three maps, and the contest was even more fiercely contested than the previous semi-final matches. The first map in this clash was Dust II, won fairly comfortably by the opponents, with a score of 13–7. The next map was Ancient, on which we’d seen overtime in the previous match. This time, however, there was no overtime, and the result shows that SOT hadn’t learnt their lesson when it came to analysing Ancient, losing the map 13–4. However, it’s not the result of a single map that counts, but the overall result; on the deciding map (Anubis), SOT unfortunately won 13–10, and so they are the winners of the ULL.

The Team Fairus players were certainly hoping for more than second place, especially as they managed to win their first match (the semi-final) in rather fine style. However, the world doesn’t end with this tournament, and second place is an achievement in its own right. The ARRMY Open is currently underway, and we’re sure that Team Fairus is focusing all its efforts on that tournament. Congratulations to Team Fairus on their second-place finish, and to SOT on their triumph in the final.
Team Fairus’s upcoming matches
We’ll next see Team Fairus in the ARRMY Open S13 tournament, where on 7 July (in 4 days’ time) at 22:15 they’ll face ‘Strzał z Bonia”. Currently, our partner has a record of 0-1, following a walkover defeat to Toros E-sport. “POGROMCY ONCESTW” are Team Fairus’s next opponents, though the exact date of this match has not yet been set; it will take place on a day between 4 and 10 July.
