VoFoxen at the Summit Clash tournament — The Foxes are in the semi-finals!

- -

As you probably know, the Summit Clash tournament is now entering its decisive stage. However, we haven’t mentioned VoFoxen once yet, so let’s quickly recap their journey. The Foxes performed brilliantly in the first phase of the tournament, losing just one match. Unfortunately, despite an excellent 5–1 record, the round difference meant they couldn’t qualify directly for the quarter-finals. But that didn’t stop the Foxes… So how are they faring in the Summit Clash?

The Foxes with an excellent record in Summit Clash

VoFoxen 13:10 SadBoys | Inferno

The Foxes began their Summit Clash campaign with a closely fought match against SadBoys. The match was played on the well-known Inferno map, where their opponents got off to a better start. The first half was extremely tight, but it was SadBoys who managed to take a 5–7 lead. After the break, however, VoFoxen found their rhythm and began to dominate the game, eventually winning the map 13:10.

VoFoxen 13:0 ANABOLIC BEASTS | walkover

The second match ultimately did not take place, as Anabolic Beasts forfeited the match. I am unaware of the reasons behind this decision, but thanks to this, the Foxes secured a quick 13:0 victory right at the start of the tournament.

VoFoxen 13:5 DR ESPORTS | Nuke

In the next match, the Foxes faced DR Esports on the Nuke map. The first half was fairly even and ended with the Foxes holding a narrow 7:5 lead. After the sides switched, the match quickly turned into a one-sided affair, with DR failing to win a single round. Ultimately, the Foxes secured a comfortable 13-5 victory.

VoFoxen 13:5 Armitra NXT | Nuke

The clash with Armitra NXT unfolded almost identically to the earlier match against DR. Even the Nuke map was chosen again, and the first half ended with a narrow 7-5 lead for VoFoxen. Of course, after the sides switched, the Foxes left their opponents no chance, completely taking the initiative and winning every round, closing out the map with a 13-5 score.

VoFoxen 16:12 Strzał z Bonia | Mirage

This match was one of the most evenly matched of the entire tournament for the Foxes. Strzał z Bonia, who many considered a semi-final contender, lost after a thrilling match… and not just once, but more on that later. They gave the Foxes a tough time and forced them into overtime. There, however, VoFoxen showed their full potential and didn’t concede a single round to their opponents, ultimately winning 16:12.

VoFoxen 6:13 Hussars | Mirage

The Foxes suffered their only defeat in the group stage against the new Hussars line-up, still competing under the name ex-Pandemonium. From the very start, the match did not go their way, and the first half ended with their opponents holding a commanding 3:9 lead. After the break, VoFoxen managed to win three more rounds, but it wasn’t enough to turn the match around. ex-Pandemonium comfortably closed out the map with a 6-13 scoreline.

The Foxes’ journey in the Summit playoffs

VoFoxen 2:0 Strzał z Bonia

13:7 | Overpass / 13:6 | Inferno

The rematch from the group stage came surprisingly quickly; in the round of 16, the Foxes faced Strzał z Bonia once again. This time, however, the match was not so evenly matched, and VoFoxen comfortably closed out the series 2-0. Their opponents picked Overpass, but the Foxes won it comfortably 13:7, before improving the score to 13:6 on their home map, Inferno. Thus, Strzał z Bonia had to bid farewell to the tournament, whilst the Foxes advanced to the quarter-finals, where their next opponent was already waiting.

VoFoxen 2-1 Do Chrzanu Esports

13-7 | Overpass / 9-13 | Nuke / 13-7 | Train

In the quarter-finals, VoFoxen faced Do Chrzanu Esports, and it was clear from the outset that it would be no easy ride. The series opened with Overpass, which was the opponents’ pick. However, the Foxes surprised their rivals with a superb performance and secured a confident 13-7 victory. It seemed that the path to the semi-finals lay wide open, but on their own pick, Nuke, VoFoxen failed to tip the balance in their favour and, after a fairly even contest, lost 9:13. So everything had to be decided on the decisive map, Train. There, the Foxes once again showed their teeth and good control over the match, leaving their opponents with no illusions. Ultimately, the Foxes closed out the series with a superb 13-7 result and advanced to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are secured, but what next?

The Foxes have already had an extremely successful run in the Summit Clash tournament. From a strong group stage, through a confident victory in the round of 16, right up to a demanding quarter-final against Do Chrzanu Esports. The Foxes have thus proven that they can cope both in evenly matched clashes and in moments of pressure, when everything hinges on a single map. Thanks to this, they have secured their place in the top four of the competition and can calmly prepare for the next challenges. And on the horizon lies the semi-final, in which VoFoxen’s opponent will be the winner of the match between Nexium POLteam and Horizon Youngsters. Regardless of who emerges victorious from this battle, one can be sure that the Foxes face a tough clash, with a place in the coveted Summit Clash final at stake.
