We’re nearing the end of the regular season in the Arrma League, and the excitement is still at its peak. Whilst in the Open division more and more matches are ending in walkovers, in the Rising division there’s a real battle for every point. ValianceGG had been storming through the competition for a long time, but suffered their first setback in the last round. And it wasn’t against just anyone. Who managed to stop one of the strongest teams in the league, and what does the battle for top spot look like now?
ValianceGG at the end of the regular season – what is their record after 8 rounds?
There are now just two rounds remaining until the end of the Arrmy Rising regular season, and Valiance have already played eight matches. With a 7–1 record, they’re well on their way to maintaining their place among the very best. Let’s take a look at their journey so far, from spectacular victories to their only defeat to date.
Valiance 13:11 TEB Esports Pro | Anubis
The regular season began for ValianceGG with a tough clash against TEB Esports Pro. The match was fiercely contested from the very first rounds, but it was Valiance who found their rhythm better in the closing stages, tipping the balance in their favour. The 13–11 win gave the team a positive boost at the start of the tournament and showed that even in closely fought matches, they are capable of seeing it through to the end.
Valiance 13–10 SIGNUM ESPORTS | Mirage
The second round brought another tense clash, this time on the classic Mirage map, which has been the setting for many thrilling matches over the years. ValianceGG faced SIGNUM ESPORTS, a team known for their solid tactics and determination, which promised a closely fought contest. Throughout the match, both teams traded the lead, with the tension mounting with every round. It was then that Valiance’s experience and composure allowed them to take control at crucial moments and ultimately seal the match with a 13:10 victory. This victory is further proof that the team can not only compete but also win under pressure, consolidating their position in the table.
Valiance 1–0 SLAKE | default
The third victory came without a fight. SLAKE, who are also among our partners, failed to turn up for the match, and ValianceGG added further points to their tally. Whilst walkovers are never a source of sporting satisfaction, what counts is the result and a stable position in the table.
Valiance 13:3 Gloris eSports | Anubis
In the fourth round, ValianceGG demonstrated complete control and dominance. Gloris eSports, also one of our partners, had little to offer on Anubis. And the one-sided 13:3 scoreline shows that Valiance are capable not only of winning close matches, but also of completely dominating their opponents. It was their most convincing performance of the season.
Valiance 1–0 CH1M1DEPO | default
Another point added to Valiance’s tally without playing a match. CH1M1DEPO failed to appear on the server, which brought the team closer to the play-off zone, but at the same time deprived them of the chance to test their form in battle.
Valiance 13:7 NOSURRENDERGG | Anubis
In the sixth round, ValianceGG returned to action and proved they remain one of the favourites for the title. The match against NOSURRENDERGG was no walk in the park, but Valiance controlled the game from the outset. Solid defence and effective attacks secured them a comfortable lead, which they held onto until the final score of 13:7.
Valiance 1–0 MENSZCZYSNI | walkover
Their third walkover of the season, this time against MENSZCZYSNI. Although such results are not uncommon in this edition of Army Rising, for Valiance it is another secure point and a comfortable climb up the table.
Valiance 2:13 MODERN PLAYERS | Nuke
In the eighth round, ValianceGG were in for a rude awakening. Modern Players, who consolidated their position at the top of the table following this match, dominated them on the Nuke map, winning 2:13. The match was one-sided from the very start. Their opponents dictated the pace and didn’t allow Valiance to find their feet. This clear defeat, although their first of the season, clearly shows that there is still work to be done ahead of the play-offs. They need to iron out their weaker moments and improve the quality of their play.
What lies ahead for Valiance?
ValianceGG are approaching the end of the regular season with a record of 7 wins and 1 defeat, which places them just behind the league leaders, Modern Players. Both teams have an identical match record, but Modern Players are ahead thanks to a better round record. Valiance still have two crucial matches ahead of them, which could determine the final standings ahead of the play-offs. Tomorrow at 7.00 pm, they face a tough clash against Pandemonium. The date for the final round has not yet been confirmed, but Valiance will face Horizon Esports on that occasion, which will be another test of their form and focus.
Will Valiance maintain their high level of performance and defend their position in the table? An exciting end to the season lies ahead, which may yet bring many surprises.
