1. Hussars is making changes to the academy

Hussars currently have two squads, which are at two different levels in terms of gameplay. The main squad plays its matches in ESEA Intermediate and Arrmy Rising, whilst the academy does not compete in the ESEA league; instead, they play in the Arrmy Open division. The academy’s results were satisfactory for a while, and they even achieved an 8:0 record in Arrmy.

Unfortunately, a change had to be made after they dropped into the last-chance bracket at the Galaxy Cup. However, we do not know whether the change was forced by the squad or whether the player himself decided to leave Hussars Young. The player in question turned out to be KeyZen, and Kuoni was immediately brought in to replace him. The new player is unknown to the underground community, including our editorial team, so we’ll have to get to know him by watching the young Hussars in action.

Hussars Young will be able to test their new line-up in the last-chance matches of the Galaxy Cup, the upcoming Arrma playoffs which they have secured a place in, or in the GamePex LAN qualifiers, where they are just one win away from a LAN spot.

First place in the rankings may come as a surprise, but don’t be fooled – RADAR BOIS is a well-known team, formerly known as Prime Bulls. After PB split up, the lads didn’t slow down, which allowed them to climb to the top of the table.

Close behind them are the players from Young Stars Talents, who secured second place on the podium with an impressive run of form.

Unfortunately for Pandemonium, they had to make way on the podium for TNC, who jumped into third place. Just behind them, in 4th place, Armitra remains unchanged, demonstrating their consistent form.

As you’ve probably noticed, several teams lost valuable points this month, which had a significant impact on the standings. However, this situation has opened the door for new teams, who’ve had the chance to make their mark on the table. The battle at the bottom of the table is exceptionally tight – places 38 to 60 are tied on 24 points, which only confirms just how fierce the competition is in the underground scene.

3. LHG is our new partner!

Finally, we have some fresh news: welcome aboard our brand-new partner, LHG, formerly known as LastHeroesGaming. The organisation was founded in 2017, and the name was shortened in January this year. Our new partner brings a wealth of experience and passion, which will enable us to continue growing and achieving new goals. We are looking forward to working together and believe that together we will create wonderful projects and events. We can’t wait to see what the future holds and what successes we will achieve together.

LHG will compete in the Counter-Strike 2 division, and their roster is:

4. The Bulls Team on the European scene

For those who don’t follow football – FC Basel is a club that competes in Switzerland’s top-flight league.

Since then, The Bulls Team has played 7 matches in this league. The league table has changed only slightly, as our partner has moved up two places.

At the moment, TBT sit 11th in the table with 51 points. 14 wins, 9 draws and 11 defeats. They trail 10th-placed Genesium FC by 1 point. They feel the heat from Alemannia Aachen eSports, who have the same number of points but a poorer goal difference.

The situation with Alemannia mentioned above could change quickly, as The Bulls Team are set to play a match today, against that very team.

5. Constrict Gaming in the second round of the ARRMY Open S12 playoffs

Constrict Gaming achieved a 9-0 record in the group stage of ARRMY Open S12. Why 9 wins and 0 losses when the league stage of this tournament consists of 10 matches? Because one match ended in a mutual walkover. This record, of course, secured their place in the playoffs. In the first round, they faced Signum Academy. We already know that this match was not the most evenly matched. Constrict won… that is to say, they dominated their opponents on Inferno (13:2) and Nuke (13:3).

6. The Separatists players in VPG Poland’s Team of the Week

Rafalboss16 from The Separatists has been named in the VPG Poland Second Division Team of the Week. He plays in the left wing position. Rafał is not the only player from our partner team to be named in this edition, as he is joined by Machs949, a defender for The Separatists.

Three days ago, on 27 March, The Separatists hosted Brda Przechlewo and Hackers Esports in the VPG Poland Second Division. Following these matches, our partner currently sits third in the table with 64 points, thanks to 20 wins and 4 draws.

7. SLAKE in Group C: Galaxy Cup: Reborn Edition 3

SLAKE has found out its group in the latest edition of the Galaxy Cup and can probably count itself lucky, as at first glance there aren’t too many teams that could seriously compete with them in the group.

The groups operate on a triple-elimination basis, meaning that SLAKE won’t necessarily get the chance to play every team in the group. Their first opponent is Katixy, with Divergent waiting in the wings for the next round. Assuming SLAKE easily handles their first opponent, the second match could be much more exciting and tense. It is also worth noting that the triple-elimination system allows for a greater number of matches, which may influence the teams’ tactics. Every mistake could cost them their place in the tournament, so all teams will need to demonstrate great determination and skill to progress to the next stages. Maintaining form and proper preparation will also be crucial.

8. Prime Bulls have learned their opponent in the Galaxy Cup quarter-finals

Prime Bulls are getting closer and closer to the Galaxy Cup final and have now reached the quarter-finals, which they are certainly very excited about.

9. Hussars bid farewell to their CS2 squad.

News recently emerged that the Hussars had finalised their squad; unfortunately, however, the line-up will have to change again due to the departure of as many as three players who joined the organisation some time ago.

In our last article on Hussars, we informed you about the final piece of the Hussars puzzle falling into place. Although it seemed we knew all the players who were set to play under the Hussars banner for the long term, we couldn’t have been more wrong.

A few days after the announcement of the fifth player, Keyzen, three players left the Hussars: KayAre, Bidesy and moszu. We do not know the reason for their departure from the organisation, especially as they state in a social media post that they are sad, but information about new players will be released in the coming days.

In any case, we wish the now former Hussars players the best of luck in the next stages of their rapidly developing careers.

10. Armitra after the first week of ESEA Intermediate S52

Armitra aren’t repeating the performance from the previous ESEA Intermediate season, where they started with a 0-4 record. We now know they won’t be repeating that feat — Armitra won their second match and, after two rounds, stand at 1-1.

In the first match, their opponents were NoReason Gaming. The match itself was evenly contested, as evidenced by the 11:13 score on Dust2. It is also worth mentioning that the opposition featured one Polish player: -Protector. The rest of the squad, however, hail from the UK.

In the next match, the Poles took on Etukippi CS2. We probably don’t need to explain which country their opponents are from, do we? The match took place on Dust 2 (for a change). Although the map was the same, the result was different, as Armitra won the match 13–7.

In the next match, which will take place next Tuesday (21/1/2025) at 8.00 pm, they will host the “Rebel Stars” team. This team hails from Austria, just like a certain famous painter. It is also worth noting that the Poles are the favourites in this match, at least on paper. Their opponents currently have two wins and no losses.

Next Thursday, our partner will host “CHAOX ESPORTS”, who also currently have a 1-1 record. On paper, it looks set to be a closely contested match – but what will actually happen? We’ll find out next week. The opponents hail from Portugal and have previously taken part in events such as SGL Fall 2024.
