Some teams are only just getting started in this season’s Arrma, whilst others, such as Excurity Gaming, are already halfway through. We’ve already covered their first three matches, after which they had a record of 2:1. In recent days, they’ve played another two matches, bringing them to the halfway point of the regular season – so how did they get on? Read on to find out…
Excurity Gaming in the hunt for an even better record – vs Stryja E-Sport
The first opponent covered in this article is Stryja E-Sport, a team that had a 3–1 record going into this match. They’re a strong opponent, but if our partner wants to be in contention for the play-offs, they’ll have to beat teams like this too. The map chosen was Dust 2, which our partner was playing for the first time this season. Excurity started on the defensive side and managed to take an early 2–0 lead. Unfortunately, the opponents managed to break that lead quickly and level the score at 2–2. They didn’t stop there, however, as they took the next two rounds to take the lead. Our partner fought back, but their opponents responded immediately, extending their lead to 6–3. The final three rounds of the first half were split 2–1, and the first half ended with Stryja leading 7–5.
In the second half, Excurity Gaming once again started by winning the pistol round, quickly levelling the score at 7–7. The Stryja E-Sport players didn’t let the draw last too long, and the next three rounds went their way. Excurity managed to respond and even reach a tie-breaker, but they failed to capitalise on it, which effectively sealed the match’s fate. In the subsequent rounds, Stryja gave our partner no chance whatsoever and won the match 13–9, thereby dropping Excurity to a 2–2 record.

A quick consolation win – vs Brine
Excurity suffered their second defeat, and whilst this hasn’t yet dashed their hopes of reaching the play-offs, it could have dented team morale. Fortunately, their next opponent put up virtually no resistance, and our partner got back on the winning track. In the match against Brine, they won 13–0, leaving no doubt as to who was the better side. This put Excurity Gaming back on a 3–2 winning record and boosted morale following their recent defeat.
