We’re already more than halfway through the 13th season of Arrmy Open, and Gloris eSports Academy continues to hold its own at the top of the table thanks to some very solid performances. Having played six matches, the team can boast an excellent record and a confidence that has been evident in every successive fixture. Last time, we looked at their first three matches; today, it’s time to continue our look at their season so far. There was no shortage of excitement, and the events of the last few rounds provided not only sporting thrills but also the first signs of a real test for this team.

Gloris eSports AC 13:7 Vandals Clan | Anubis
The first of the three matches discussed here brought Gloris eSports Academy a confident and controlled victory on the Anubis map. Their opponent was another of our partners – specifically, Vandals Clan – which added a symbolic dimension to the clash. Nevertheless, there was no room for sentiment; only the points and continuing the winning streak mattered.
The match was clearly characterised by Gloris eSports’ tactical maturity. Although their opponents tried several times to break through the defence and catch them off guard with bolder plays, the academy kept a cool head and responded with great consistency. Gloris secured the key rounds, and once they’d built up a lead, it allowed them to dictate the pace and calmly control the flow of the match.
The final score of 13–7 accurately reflects the nature of this clash: demanding, yet composed. The victory was not only another point in the table, but also confirmation that the team can maintain its focus even in matches against well-known opponents. It was a true display of strength. The Gloris Academy put on a masterclass, leaving their opponents absolutely no chance. The match ended 13–0, without the team dropping a single round. Such results are extremely rare, especially on the Mirage map, which can often catch even experienced teams off guard. This time, however, it was Gloris who dictated the terms from start to finish.
Right from the start of the match, it was clear that the academy had entered the server fully focused and with a clear plan. Aggression, spatial control, quick decision-making and near-flawless execution – every element of the game went their way. Their rivals from BZIBZIAK, despite attempts to find their feet in the match, were unable to break the pace set by Gloris eSports or come up with effective counter-strategies.
Their dominance was not only in terms of the score but also mentally. Every setback suffered by their opponents only spurred on the academy’s players, who grew in confidence and played with greater ease as the rounds progressed. This victory demonstrated just how much potential the Gloris Academy possesses when everything goes according to plan. Gloris eSports AC 20:22 Paralympics | Mirage
The moment of truth had arrived – one that Akademia Gloris had not yet experienced this season. The clash with the Paralympics team turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster, full of tension, twists and turns, and a battle for every centimetre of the map. Both teams were evenly matched, and the course of the match shifted like a kaleidoscope. Regular time ended in a 12–12 draw, which meant extra time – and, as it turned out, not just one round.
The contest was so evenly matched that it took no fewer than three extra-time periods to determine the winner. Subsequent rounds failed to produce a winner – first a 15–15 draw, then 18–18 – and it was only the final, third overtime that brought the decisive result. The Paralympic team tipped the balance in their favour, winning 20–22, although at times it seemed that Gloris eSports might be able to seal the match in their favour.
This match was more than just a defeat. It was a true test of character and mental resilience, which showed that Gloris Academy can fight right to the very end. Even when the opposition wouldn’t give an inch. Despite the loss, the team showed class, determination and immense heart. Although the final result brought their winning streak to an end, this match certainly provided valuable experience. Matches of this calibre toughen up the team and teach them more than many a victory. Gloris eSports Academy comes away from this clash with new-found knowledge, which it will certainly put to good use for the rest of the season.

After six matches, Gloris eSports Academy has five wins and just one defeat to its name. This record still places them right at the top of the table. The team has not only demonstrated quality and consistency, but has also proved that it can cope with pressure and take on demanding opponents.
The coming weeks will bring further challenges, with the next rivals – DTK and BGCTEAM – already looming on the horizon. Both teams have their own ambitions and will certainly be keen to halt the Academy’s momentum. We can therefore look forward to more thrilling chapters this season, which could determine the final standings in the table.
