Gloris didn’t get off to a great start in the 53rd season of ESEA Open10, as they began with three defeats and only managed to turn things around in their fourth match (read more about this in this article – CLICK). Fortunately, in their most recent matches, they’ve managed to continue their good run, which has ultimately allowed them to level their record.
The battle for a 2:3 record – Gloris eSports vs NasvaivGranulah
The match was played on the de_anubis map, where the attacking side has a huge advantage over the defending side; despite this, our partner got off to a very good start, playing on the more difficult side. Winning the pistol round and the anti-force round gave them an immediate 3–0 lead. The opposition responded with a single round, as did Gloris. We saw this pattern repeat itself, leading to a 5–2 score in favour of Gloris eSports. From that point on, the opposition went on a run that lasted until the score was tied at 5–5. After that, our partner won a single round, but they were unable to regain the lead before the second half, and the first half ended 6–6.
Gloris got off to another flying start in the second half, giving them an early 8–6 lead. However, there was to be no change in the lead, as our partner kept up the pressure and won numerous rounds, which eventually saw them reach six match points at 12–6. The first was close, but the opponents managed to defend it. In the second round, they weren’t so lucky, and it was the Poles who won the match 13–7, adding a second victory to their tally.

A match to level the score – Gloris eSports vs Slapped
In this match to level the score, our partner had to face the international team Slapped. At first glance, their team didn’t look particularly impressive, and the result reflected this. The match took place on the de_dust 2 map, which Gloris often enjoy playing and feel comfortable on. They demonstrated this by starting with a win in the pistol round and the round that followed. Their opponents responded with two rounds of their own, bringing the score to 2–2. Our team regained the lead, though it lasted only one round and was quickly squandered, bringing the score back to a draw, this time 3–3. The Slapped team even managed to take the lead for the first time in the match, although that too was quickly levelled. From that moment on, Gloris eSports began their devastating run, which ended the first half of the match with a score of 8–4.
In the second half, our partner once again got off to a flying start and immediately extended their lead to 10–4. Of course, they didn’t stop there, and thanks to some excellent play, they quickly extended their lead to a score that gave them match points. However, the first match point was not converted, which gave their opponents a glimmer of hope. That hope was quickly dashed when our partner secured the match point, ultimately winning the entire match 13–5.
