The third day of the open qualifiers for the ArrMY Masters proved to be a successful one for the Nisla Rakov team. The team successfully made it through the entire qualifying bracket and secured a place in the closed qualifiers, where they will soon be competing for a place in the main tournament. As a result, the team has joined the ranks of those still in contention for a place at the ArrMY Masters.
The open qualifiers were split into four days of competition, giving teams several chances to secure promotion to the next stage. However, Nisla Rakov did not have to wait until the very last chance. By the third day of the qualifiers, the team had already sealed their promotion, showing steadily improving form from match to match.
The road to success was by no means an easy one, however. The very first match showed that even a seemingly minor mistake could cost a team their place in the tournament. Nisla Rakov therefore had to remain fully focused from the very start, especially as each successive round brought the team closer to the coveted place in the Closed Quali. Although the start of the qualifiers was challenging, the team very quickly began to gain confidence. Their performance on Anubis looked particularly strong, and as the qualifiers progressed, this map proved to be extremely effective for Nisla Rakov.
From a difficult start to qualification for the Closed Qualifiers
Nisła Raków’s first opponent on the third day of the open qualifiers was The Eliminators. The match, played on the Nuke map, was extremely evenly matched from the outset, with neither team able to establish a significant lead. Both sides remained neck and neck for a long time. As a result, the outcome of the match remained in the balance practically right up until the very end of regular time. Ultimately, the match had to be decided in extra time, during which Nisła Raków kept their cool better. The 16–13 victory allowed the team to stay in the running for promotion. At the same time, it could provide the team with a much-needed boost ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The subsequent matches looked far more assured. On the Anubis map, Nisla Rakov defeated Avalanche.gg 13–7, putting in a much more consistent performance than in their previous match. The team looked increasingly confident, which enabled them to control the flow of the match for the greater part of the game. Shortly afterwards, the team played on Anubis once more, this time facing Kruliczki. Once again, Nisla Rakov managed to secure victory, winning 13–9 and thereby moving closer to the ArrMY Masters Closed Qualifiers.
The decisive match for a place in the Closed Quali was also played at Anubis. Nisła Raków’s opponent was Mikstura1234, and at stake was a direct ticket to the next stage of the tournament. Just like in the first match of the day, the encounter proved to be very evenly matched and, once again, extra time was required. In the extra rounds, Nisła Raków once again kept their cool better than their opponents. The team won 16–12, thereby completing a run of four victories and securing their place in the closed qualifiers for the ArrMY Masters.
Nisła Raków takes another step towards the ArrMY Masters
Qualifying for the Closed Quali can be seen as a very important milestone for Nisla Rakov. Especially as the team had to cope with several truly demanding matches. Two overtime victories demonstrated that the team can keep their cool at crucial moments and perform well under pressure, which could prove extremely important in the later stages of the tournament.
It is also worth noting the form displayed by Nisla Rakov on Anubis. It was on this map that the team secured three consecutive victories, clearly gaining confidence with each successive match. Their strong form towards the end of the qualifiers could be a very important sign for the team ahead of the closed qualifiers.
Now, Nisla Rakov faces a much tougher challenge. The Closed Quali will bring together stronger teams, and the battle for places in the ArrMY Masters will be even more demanding. Nevertheless, the team has already proven that it can make the most of its opportunities, and it cannot be ruled out that it will spring a few more surprises in the next phase of the qualifiers.
