The last time we wrote about Team Fairus, it was in the context of their improving form and increasingly ambitious goals on the Counter-Strike 2 scene. Today we’re returning to this topic with even greater enthusiasm, as we have some really good news. Team Fairus claimed victory in the FPS Masters tournament, which had a prize pool of 500 zł. Although the tournament itself was rather unusual, the team left no doubt as to who was the best. For their triumph, the lads will receive 300 zł and, above all, a great deal of confidence ahead of their next challenges.
A tournament full of surprises
From the outset, the FPS Masters tournament had something unusual about it. The biggest surprise for many observers was that Team Fairus only entered the competition at the semi-final stage. Whilst other teams had to battle it out in the earlier rounds, Fairus skipped the quarter-finals. We tried to find out the reason behind the organiser’s decision, but to this day we have received no explanation. The matter remains a mystery, and will no doubt continue to be a topic of conversation within the community for a long time to come.
The tournament format itself was equally unusual. The semi-final was played in a BO1 format, meaning that just one map decided who would progress to the final. In practice, this meant that a single off day could dash all hopes. Fairus therefore had no room for error, but they handled the pressure perfectly.
When everything goes to plan
Fairus’s first match (vs ZentariuS) was a veritable display of strength. From the very start, they imposed their own tempo on their opponents and didn’t let them catch their breath. The team’s play was confident, dynamic and very deliberate. Every move seemed well thought out, and decisions were made in a flash.
In the first half of the match, Fairus were completely in control. It was clear that they had a plan and were sticking to it. Their opponents couldn’t find a way to counter their play, and every attempt to turn the tide ended in failure. After the break, Fairus quickly sealed the match (13:2), leaving no doubt as to who deserved a place in the final.
It was a confident, convincing and very mature victory. The lads showed that they can handle the pressure and keep their cool, even when everything is happening at breakneck speed.

FPS Masters, SEMI-FINAL |
A final that proved their mettle
The following day, it was time for the most important match. Team Fairus faced off against Gloris AC, a team that had also put in a very solid performance in the previous rounds. The final promised to be a thrilling affair, and the way it unfolded confirmed that Fairus had no intention of giving up without a fight.
Right from the opening minutes, it was clear that both teams knew each other well and respected each other’s capabilities. The start of the match was evenly matched — an exchange of rounds, attempts at tactical plays, and careful assessment of the opponent. Fairus, however, did not panic, even when the situation was tense. After the break, they showed that they could adapt instantly to their rivals’ style.
They began to play with greater confidence and control, effectively limiting Gloris AC’s room for manoeuvre. Each round looked increasingly convincing, and their communication and composure on the server were impressive. Once Fairus found their rhythm, their opponents were left with no way to respond. The first map, chosen by Team Fairus, was also won by them 13–6.
The second map belonged to Gloris AC, so in theory they should have felt more confident on it. The start was indeed a tight affair – another 6:6 draw at half-time showed that both teams were playing with great commitment.
However, after the sides switched, Fairus began to dominate. Perfect rotations, good communication and excellent timing meant that Gloris AC were unable to break through their defensive line. Every attempt to break through ended in failure. Fairus consistently scored points until they finally sealed the deal, winning the map 13–8 and the match 2–0.
Summary
Team Fairus’s victory in the FPS Masters tournament marks an important step in the team’s development. Despite the unusual format and the puzzling allocation of their semi-final spot, the players showed that they can make the most of every opportunity. Their play was mature, well-thought-out and full of determination.
Fairus dominated their rivals both individually and as a team. This was no fluke – it’s clear the team has worked hard on their communication and tactics. Two days of competition were enough to confirm that this line-up can win, even when the pressure is immense.
Is this the start of a new chapter in Team Fairus’s history? Everything points to it. The players have proven they have talent, passion and a hunger for victory. There are still many tournaments ahead of them, and their appetite for more titles has certainly grown. We’ll certainly be keeping an eye on them and cheering them on in their upcoming matches – because Team Fairus is only just getting started.
