Vandals Clan has once again made headlines on the Polish CS2 underground scene. The organisation has just undergone one of the biggest changes in the history of its main squad. We recently nominated them in the SUPERIONGG Awards 2025 in the ‘Team of the Year’ category. Even then, we hinted that there might be some major shake-ups within the team. Esports often proves that even stable set-ups can suddenly fall apart. This is exactly what has happened at Vandals Clan. Today, we explain what led to the break-up of their most recent squad, who decided to leave and why. We’ll also describe how the organisation intends to rebuild the team around WisTu – the only player who has remained and who serves as captain and IGL.
The official farewell – how did the organisation comment on the situation?
A few hours before the recruitment announcement, Vandals Clan published a post on its social media accounts in which it bid farewell to the players and thanked them for their time with the organisation. The post made it clear that the decision to leave had come from the players themselves, so the organisation had little choice but to let them go.
The post was written in a calm tone and emphasised that differences in views and approach sometimes make further cooperation impossible. Every team goes through such moments, which is why the organisation stated that, despite its disappointment, it is focusing on the future. It concluded the statement with words of support and best wishes for the former players.
WisTu as the cornerstone of the rebuild
ROSTERAs of 8 December, only one player remained at Vandals Clan – WisTu. He serves as both captain and In-Game Leader. Whilst this situation might have seemed dramatic, WisTu is one of the organisation’s most crucial assets. IGLs are currently among the hardest roles to fill in Polish CS2 teams, which is why Vandals Clan can count themselves very lucky that he, of all people, has stayed on board.
It is around WisTu that the organisation intends to build a new, stronger squad. The role of IGL requires a wide range of skills – both tactical and interpersonal – which is why his presence allows the team to maintain continuity within the project. Thanks to this, the team does not have to start absolutely from scratch. WisTu knows the team’s structure, understands the organisation’s philosophy and is able to select the right people who will fit in with his leadership style.
With only one person remaining from the entire roster, Vandals Clan faces a challenge, but also an opportunity. This situation gives them complete freedom to rebuild the team from scratch, without compromises or attempts to adapt to previous set-ups. WisTu will write a new chapter, one that could prove to be a turning point.
The Vandals are starting afresh
It wasn’t long before another post appeared on the Vandals Clan profile, announcing the opening of recruitment for a new main CS2 squad. The organisation has moved very quickly to take action, which shows that it wants to return to training and competition as soon as possible. The announcement sets out the requirements for candidates in detail, so interested players can immediately check whether they meet the criteria.
The organisation has clearly emphasised that it is looking for “new blood” – players who not only meet the requirements but will also be a good mental fit for the rebuilding project led by WisTu.
Applications should be submitted via the form provided in the post. This allows every potential candidate to easily complete the application process. The Vandals openly suggest that it may well be from these new applications that the next key player will emerge, helping to build a stable and ambitious squad for the 2025/2026 season.
Summary
The changes at Vandals Clan were very intense, albeit short-lived. The old roster lasted less than a month, yet it managed to show that even good intentions are not enough if there is no shared vision. However, the organisation has no intention of stopping, as it immediately set about rebuilding the team and announced a recruitment drive.
The most important news is that WisTu – the IGL, captain and central figure of the new project – has remained with the team. It is around him that the next line-up will be built, one that will attempt to conquer the Polish CS2 scene. If the recruitment drive is successful and the team finds the right chemistry, Vandals Clan could enter 2026 with a whole new energy and ambition.
The CS2 scene is constantly changing, and stories like this serve as a reminder that esports can be unpredictable. One thing, however, remains certain – Vandals Clan is not giving up and intends to keep fighting for its place amongst the best.
