Constrict Gaming dominated the Summit Clash final

- -

On 5 September at 8.00 pm, the grand final of the Summit Clash tournament took place, in which our two partner teams – Constrict Gaming and Nexium POLteam – went head-to-head. Both teams had performed to a high standard throughout the tournament, as we reported in previous articles [here and here]. This time, they found themselves facing each other in the decisive clash for the championship title.

The final was a best-of-three (BO3) format, meaning two map wins were required to secure victory. The match promised to be incredibly exciting, but the very first minutes showed that the “snakes” had prepared perfectly for this clash and had no intention of giving their rivals any room to manoeuvre.

Constrict Gaming’s blistering start gave them complete control of the final

From the very first rounds of the final, Constrict Gaming (de_mirage, 13:2) imposed their own pace of play on Nexium POLteam. Their aggressive round openings, well-thought-out tactics and excellent communication allowed them to rack up points practically without expending any energy. Nexium POLteam tried to capitalise on counter-attacks, but they lacked the finishing touch and effectiveness at crucial moments.

DenisM played a pivotal role at this stage, not only dominating the eliminations but also providing the team with stability and confidence in their decision-making. His ADR of 171.1 on the first map was one of the highest scores of the entire tournament.

Constrict maintains its lead and closes out the match

After a strong start, Constrict Gaming didn’t let up. In the second half of the match, the team showed that they were not only capable of winning quick rounds, but also of controlling the game in long exchanges. Their defensive set-ups worked flawlessly, and every attempt by Nexium to attack was quickly neutralised.

The duo of storM1Ki and _Szalik stood out in this part of the match. The former impressed with precise shots and a high ADR of 109.7, whilst _Szalik pulled off key plays that dashed their opponents’ hopes of getting back into the match.

DenisM the hero of the evening

Although the whole team performed to a very high standard, the MVP title for the final deservedly went to DenisM. His performance was a prime example of a player who not only eliminates opponents but also boosts team morale and leads the team’s efforts at the most crucial moments. In both matches, he was the key piece of the puzzle, and his experience translated into Constrict Gaming’s complete dominance.

The Summit Clash final highlighted the gap in quality – what lies ahead for both teams?

Constrict Gaming’s resounding victory not only secured them the Summit Clash title but also cemented their position on the Polish CS2 scene. The result of this match sends a clear signal to other teams that this squad has the potential to dominate in future tournaments.

For Nexium POLteam, the final was a tough test, but also a valuable lesson. Although they failed to win the title, simply reaching the final shows that the team is capable of competing with the best and may well challenge their rivals again in the future.
