The new year brings changes to NPK Esport

- -

In one of our previous articles, we reported on changes to the NPK Esport first team. However, the start of the new year has shown that this was not the only reshuffle within the organisation, as changes have also been made to the second team. These changes coincided with important decisions that had a significant impact on the fortunes of both teams. Both the first NPK squad and NPK II secured their places in the next stage of the Steel League.

Both NPK Esport squads in the Steel League semi-finals

Advancing to the Steel League semi-finals is undoubtedly one of NPK Esport’s most notable achievements this season. Crucially, both of the organisation’s teams have secured their places in this stage of the competition. This only serves to highlight the stability of the project and NPK’s extensive squad depth. Both the first team and NPK II will have the chance to fight for a place in the final, although their paths to the semi-finals looked slightly different.

In the case of NPK II, promotion was sealed by a walkover in the match against Dzikie Knury. Although such a scenario always leaves one feeling that something is missing in terms of sporting competition. Nevertheless, this victory means that NPK’s second squad has made it into the league’s top four and has officially secured a place in the Steel League semi-finals.

In parallel with the league results, there have also been squad changes at NPK II. Asuma has joined the team, replacing xtom3k. However, likely due to the current roster lock, the new player will not be able to feature in the Steel League semi-finals. This change is therefore significant primarily in the longer term and for future competitions. NPK II, on the other hand, is likely to enter the decisive matches with its current line-up.

The first NPK squad, of course, did not disappoint either and secured a place in the Steel League semi-finals. Thanks to this, the organisation can look back on an exceptionally successful stage of the competition. Now, both teams face further challenges. NPK Esport will take on Visionary Veil, whilst NPK II will face TW E-Sports. So, NPK faces an intense period ahead, which will show how both squads fare in the direct battle for a place in the competition’s final.

Roster lock and challenges ahead of the decisive phase

Both teams’ progression to the Steel League semi-finals brings not only excitement but also specific regulatory restrictions. Unfortunately, in the case of the first squad, the situation has already been confirmed. Due to the roster lock in force, we will not see Hakisz in the decisive phase of the competition. Meanwhile, for NPK II, the absence of Asuma, who joined a few days ago, is equally likely. Despite these difficulties, NPK Esport enters the decisive phase of the competition with two teams, which in itself is a major achievement. The upcoming matches will show whether the stability of the line-ups and their current form will allow them to take another step towards the Steel League final.
