In the world of esports, things can change in the blink of an eye… The Hussars found this out the hard way, returning to the scene with a revamped squad after two weeks without a line-up. Less than a month ago, we introduced their new line-up of players along with the coaching staff, and today the story takes another twist. A figure well known to the team’s fans is back on the coaching bench, which undoubtedly adds some spice to the whole situation. Below, we take a closer look at how this came about and what the consequences of this move might be.
The coaching merry-go-round at the Hussars
The first announcement of the new Hussars line-up, which came at the end of August, caused quite a stir amongst the fans. After a two-week break, the organisation announced that it was taking over the former Pandemonium line-up, signalling the team’s return to the scene in a revamped form. A coaching staff also joined the team, with Krux taking on the role of head coach and Vox that of analyst. This set-up offered hope that the Hussars would quickly find stability and begin to compete seriously. In particular, Krux’s presence was intended to provide the team with direction, whilst Vox supported the project from an analytical perspective. These two were to be the pillars upon which the team could build its ambitions.
However, it didn’t take long for the situation to take an unexpected turn. As you can see from the Hussars’ statement above, Krux has stepped down from his role. This time, however, it wasn’t a complete withdrawal from the scene… The coach has returned to his role as a player and joined Nisla Rakov, a team that recently became our partner. The change came as quite a surprise, as his time with Hussaria as coach had lasted barely a dozen or so days. As a result, Vox, the team’s former analyst, took over the coaching reins, giving him the chance to prove himself in his new role.
It seemed that the story of Krux and the Hussars had come to an end in early September, but the world of esports has thrown up another surprise. As you can see from Krux’s post above, he is returning to the role of coach for the team. As he himself emphasised, together with Vox, he intends to do everything he can to get the Hussars back on track. Krux noted that the task won’t be easy, but he believes in the players’ skills and their potential to achieve even greater things. He concluded with a brief, positive “It’s nice to be back :>”, which sums up his attitude perfectly. Although having two coaches is standard practice at the higher echelons of the scene, it remains a rarity at the underground level. That is precisely why Krux and Vox working together could prove to be an interesting and valuable experiment.
What’s next for Husaria?
Recent weeks have shown that there’s been a lot going on at Husaria. First, the announcement of a new squad; then a swift change in the coaching position; and now Krux’s return and his collaboration with Vox. Such dynamic developments mean the team is constantly the talk of the scene’s fans. The question, however, is whether this stability in the coaching staff will actually allow them to get back on track? One thing is certain, though… With this coaching duo, the Hussars have a chance to prove in the coming weeks that they can compete for more than just the fans’ attention.
