We recently reported on the debut of Constrict Gaming’s new player in the match against AntyDPM. The match took place as part of Galaxy Cup IV. It was certainly a successful debut, as they won 2–1 on the maps (more info). Our partner fought again in the Galaxy Cup the day before yesterday; this time, the opponent was the Radar Bois team, who were probably tipped as favourites for this match. And for good reason – with a player like “mwlky” in their line-up, it would be hard for it to be any other way. A recording of the broadcast is available on our editor’s channel (BambikXDE).
Mirage (Radar Bois’s pick)
The first map in this clash was Mirage. Constrict started on the attacking side, winning the pistol round and round two. In the third round, in a 4v2 situation where the opponent was playing with inferior gear, Constrict unfortunately lost the round. The scoreboard read 2-1.
Following this defeat, our partner decided to play an economic round, and Radar Bois levelled the score. 2:2
Constrict got a chance for revenge in round five, where we saw a full vs full round. As it turned out later, our partner won this round quite confidently, in a 4v1 situation. 3:2
In round six, we saw an attempt at Split B by the terrorists (Constrict). The attempt failed; we had a 4v5 situation, and Constrict Gaming’s new player, JKL, levelled the score by securing a kill at Bombsite A. It was at this site that Constrict decided to close out the round. They eventually managed to close out the round. 4:2
In round six (the opponent’s eco), SzaliK secured a 5v3 lead with some superb shots. Later, however, KpuTTaTyPa responded with two kills from a Deagle. SzaliK proved to be the key player of this round, later adding another kill in a 2v2 situation. 5:2
Our partner’s attempt to push to Bombsite B failed, leaving us in a 3v5 situation. An aggressive push by one of the Radar Bois players in the B app, 2v5. Constrict managed to hold onto 2x AK-47s, but the opponent scores the point. 5:3
Our partner is still holding his own economically. Radar Bois’s attempt to take mid is successful, leaving Constrict with three players on the map. In this round, they didn’t even manage to keep their weapons. 5:4
Radar Bois levels the score
The economy didn’t allow for a full round this time, so Constrict plays an ECO round. Three kills from Kizzi, and we’re level. 5:5
Friday’s push on Site A, but it’s Radar Bois with the opening frag. Constrict responds with three frags, 4vs2. Moments later, Radar Bois levels the score, 2vs2, with KpuTTaTyPa (Radar Bois) winning a 1vs2 situation. Radar Bois takes the lead for the first time in this match. 5:6
Mwlky (Radar Bois) with the opening kill; shortly after, we see a 2v3 situation which failed to secure the kill, and it is Radar Bois who win the first half. 5:7
End of the first half: 5-7
Sides switched, with Constrict on the defensive side. The pistol round was won by a ninja defuse in a 3v3 situation. The defuser was likely Mamek20 from Constrict Gaming – 6:7.
The opponent plays a force buy; the round was won quite comfortably by Constrict’s rivals. 6:8
Mwlky again with the opening kill (4v5), followed by further dominance from Radar Bois; they didn’t lose a single player in this round. 6:9
An economic round from our partner, one frag secured. 6:10
The first full-on round after the side change, and we see aggression on the right side of the map, but the opening kill goes to DenisM, in the mid lane. Mwlky in a 1v3 situation – not this time. 7:10
The UNO card was played by the Radar Bois players in this round, and they found themselves in a 3v1 situation; just like in the previous round, the opponent didn’t score. 7:11
Constrict decided to force the round and it was a good decision; moments later we have a 5v3 situation. Radar Bois equalise, but shortly after Constrict respond again, 2v1. _Szalik, in a 1v1 situation, decided to defuse the bomb in one go, which turned out to be a bullseye. 8:11
Another entry frag from Mwlky, but it came to nothing, as Constrict responded twice. 9:11
An ECO round by Radar Bois and a B-site rush. Too strong a ‘tactic’ to defend against such an entry. 9:12
JKL opens the round with a beautiful deagle shot. Moments later, we have a 3v3 situation. Unfortunately, the first map goes to the opponents. 9:13
Mirage 9:13
Constrict Gaming decided to pick Train, so they will start on the attacking side. The first pistol round was unfortunately lost; in the second, they decided not to force a round, so it is only in the third round that we will see a fair fight. 0:2
They managed to win the first full round of the match, and by a fairly comfortable margin, as three Constrict players remained on the battlefield. 1:2
The next round also went to our partner; the counter-terrorist team forced the round, although Mwlky saved his money for a sniper rifle (for two rounds).
In round five, Radar Bois played an ECO round. At one point, we even had a 2v3 situation. However, Constrict managed to close it out. 3:2
Radar Bois dominated the next round, yet a Constrict player managed to plant the bomb thanks to a pass from a Radar Bois player. 3:3
The Radar Bois players didn’t let Zarychczix (Constrict) win the 1v2 round. 3:4
In the next round, we saw an ECO round from our partner, without much drama. 3:5
In the next two rounds, it was a round-for-round affair – 4:6
Constrict managed to secure a 2v2 situation in the penultimate round of the first half. In the final round, Constrict squandered a 3v2 lead. 5:7
End of the first half: 5-7
The pistol round was won by Radar Bois, as was the next one, which also went their way. As a result, they extended their lead to 4 points. 5:9
Constrict’s ECO round didn’t look too bad; in a 2v3 situation, they managed to hold onto one weapon. 5:10
Constrict in a 5v3 situation, but the situation quickly turned into 2v2. Mamek20 lost the clutch to a Radar Bois player. 5:11
A quick push by the terrorists and we’re down to 3v3. Moments later, JKL in a 1v2 situation – unfortunately, not this time. Radar Bois has 7 match points. 5:12
Our partner managed to defend the first match point, and the second as well. The third map round (for Radar Bois) goes to Constrict Gaming. 8:12
Mwlky with three opening hits. Ultimately, that play proved decisive. The end of the championship, goodbye. 8:13
Train 8:13
The third round won’t be any easier…
We already know Constrict’s opponent. The match will take place in the coming days, and our partner’s opponent will be Kogutos. A tough opponent. In the first round, they beat TEB Esport PRO, but in the second, they lost to NoSurrenderGG. We hope that Constrict won’t give up either and that we’ll see some “resistance” from our partner in the third-round match.
