We’ve had another few weeks of competition in Poland’s biggest amateur esports league – Arrmy. There’s no shortage of excitement in the Rising division, and the Hussars are consistently battling for more points. However, the organisation’s future isn’t being shaped solely on this front – it’s also worth taking a look at the young Hussars who are competing in the Open league.
How are the Hussars faring at both levels of competition?
Having summarised the Hussars’ first two matches in the previous article, this time we’re taking a closer look at the main squad’s subsequent fixtures and the academy’s results so far.
- Hussars 13–10 SLAKE, Anubis
- Hussars 11:13 Türkiye Federasyonu, Anubis
The Hussars’ third match was a special one, as they faced another of our partners, SLAKE. From the outset, the match promised to be a closely fought contest, and it certainly didn’t disappoint in terms of excitement. After a fierce battle, the Hussars showed their character, winning 13:10.
Unfortunately, in the next clash on the same map, they lacked a bit of luck and a cool head in the decisive rounds. Despite a closely fought contest, the Hussars had to concede defeat to the Türkiye Federasyonu team, losing by a narrow margin of 11:13.
After four matches, the first team has a record of 3–1, which is a solid start to the season and bodes well for the rest of the campaign. The Hussars are proving that they can compete on equal terms even against demanding opponents.
- Hussars Young 13–0 Pajace, Mirage
- Hussars Young 13–8 Infernal Creed, Nuke
- Czterech Csarnych 9–13 Hussars Young, Nuke
Right from the start of the season, the Young Hussars have shown that they are one of the most exciting teams in the Open League. They demonstrated their strength in their very first match, outclassing their opponents 13:0. The subsequent matches proved more of a challenge, but the Hussars academy proved its worth there too. The match against Infernal Creed on the Nuke map ended in a confident 13:8 victory, and in the clash with Czterech Csarnych, despite initial difficulties, it was the Hussars Young who kept their cool at crucial moments, winning 9:13.
After three matches, the academy can boast a clean sweep of victories, and their play shows that they possess enormous potential. The young players impress not only with their individual skills, but also with their excellent teamwork and consistent execution of tactical plans. If they maintain this form, they could be one of the favourites to progress in the play-offs.
