The first Feather Cup final — who made it through the play-offs in the T1 edition?

- -

The first edition of the Feather Cup is slowly drawing to a close, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time for the grand final. Let’s not forget that this was a trial edition, which, despite a few shortcomings, didn’t go too badly for a debut. Let’s hope the organisers manage to sort out any issues before the first full-scale edition of the tournament.

Today, we’ll give a quick and to-the-point round-up of the knockout stage. Who survived the toughest clashes, who was knocked out just before the final, and who will battle it out for third place? There was no shortage of excitement, and a few matches may have taken even the biggest favourites by surprise. Of course, you can follow all the action as it happens in the report below.

The Feather Cup quarter-finals: the first real test of character

This is where the real excitement began. For some, it was a wake-up call; for others, a brutal test of their form. In the quarter-finals, every round counted, and the pressure mounted with every successive map. Below you’ll find a quick summary of the results. Without delving into the details, but with a clear picture of who emerged victorious from this clash and who had to bid farewell to their dreams of reaching the final.

Nisla Rakov 2–0 Ananaski

13:10 | Dust 2

The match kicked off on the classic Dust 2, where Nisła’s greater familiarity and teamwork were evident from the start. The 13:10 scoreline suggests that Ananaski weren’t without a chance, but ultimately they lacked consistency at crucial moments. Nisla Rakov read their opponents well and managed to secure rounds when the situation started to get tense.

13:8 | Ancient

On Ancient, Nisła looked even more confident. Although this map can be tactically demanding, their play seemed more well-thought-out. The Ananaski tried to respond, but the points lead and the pace set by Nisla Rakov effectively neutralised any attempts at a comeback. A second point in the table and a well-deserved place in the semi-finals.

Lunacy Gaming 0:2 ViBe Gaming

11:13 | Anubis

The first map of this tie was one of the most evenly matched in the entire quarter-finals. Lunacy and ViBe were neck and neck, but it was ViBe who kept their cool in the closing stages. Anubis, whilst demanding in terms of communication, was ultimately played better by ViBe Gaming. However, it wasn’t without some minor technical issues, which significantly affected the morale of the Lunacy players. Before these difficulties arose, they had been in the lead, but after the score was reset, they were unable to get back into the match at full strength.

5:13 | Ancient

The second map presented a completely different picture. ViBe Gaming completely dominated Ancient, leaving Lunacy with just five rounds. As you can see, this team had prepared tactically very well for this map and controlled the match from start to finish. Contrary to expectations, Lunacy Gaming were unable to find an answer to their opponents’ pace and aggression, which resulted in a swift 0:2 defeat and ViBe’s confident progression to the semi-finals.

Gloris eSports 2–0 Gloris AC

13:11 | Dust 2

The all-Gloris clash between Gloris eSports and their academy looked set to be an intriguing affair from the outset. On Dust 2, both teams played with finesse, and the two-point margin shows that there was no shortage of excitement. The first team, however, maintained greater control and showed that they could capitalise on their advantages more effectively. The academy went out with their heads held high, but the first team took it one step further.

13:7 | Inferno

On Inferno, the difference in class was even more pronounced. Gloris eSports seized the initiative and practically held onto it right until the final rounds. The academy tried to fight back, but their opponents were simply more effective. A 13:7 victory sealed the series and saw Gloris eSports advance to the semi-finals.

FragsEasy 0–2 Horizon Youngsters

4:13 | Anubis

There wasn’t much to write home about in this match. Horizon played their game and completely dominated Anubis. Overall, FragsEasy looked lost, and the 4–13 scoreline speaks for itself. A swift, brutal lesson from Horizon Youngsters and a first blow delivered with full force.

5:13 | Mirage

On Mirage, the situation didn’t change much. FragsEasy tried to pick up rounds and put up a fight, but Horizon YG never let control slip from their grasp for a moment. Their style was simply too strong, too precise. A second rout and an undisputed progression to the next stage.

The final matches before the grand final — how did the Feather Cup semi-finals unfold?

Nisla Rakov 0–2 ViBe Gaming

17:19 | Ancient

The first map of the semi-final was a real war of nerves and tactical chess on Ancient. Both teams fought like lions; neither was willing to concede a single round. The match was incredibly evenly contested. The lead changed hands like a kaleidoscope, and any mistake could have cost them the entire game. However, ViBe Gaming showed their composure at the decisive moments, which allowed them to snatch victory in such a tense finale and win 17–19. It was a true battle of wills, which promised an equally thrilling remainder of the semi-final.

11:13 | Dust 2

The second map was a fiercely contested continuation of the clash, with neither team willing to give an inch. Nisla Rakov fought bravely, not letting ViBe Gaming close out the match easily. The battle raged point for point, and the atmosphere remained tense right up to the final round. Despite Nisła’s immense determination and some brilliant plays, it was ViBe who maintained greater consistency and composure, ultimately securing an 11–13 victory and a place in the grand final.

Gloris eSports 2–0 Horizon Youngsters

13:3 | Ancient

On the first map, Gloris eSports demonstrated absolute dominance. From the very start, they controlled the pace and dictated the terms of the game, leaving Horizon YG with almost no chance of mounting an effective response. The 13:3 scoreline reflects the scale of their advantage, but does not fully capture the pressure and quality of play that Gloris displayed. It was a display of strength and professionalism that made it abundantly clear who the favourites are in this contest.

13:1 | Train

On the second map, Gloris eSports pressed home their advantage, not giving their opponents a moment’s respite. Control, precision and excellent teamwork led to an almost indisputable 13:1 result. As a result, Horizon were virtually swept off the map, clearly demonstrating that Gloris eSports are ready for the grand final and that no obstacles will stop them.
